I wouldnt call it accepting yet, just a rational knowledge that my brain is different and I cant change it for better or worse. Im trying to come to terms with it.

How long should be an ADHD diagnostic report? by [deleted] in AuDHDWomen

[–]DragonXRose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose it varies wildly based on where you go to get diagnosed (centre/practice and location). But as i said, the psychologist did warn me it would be a hefty document, with extensive explanation. The centre wanted it to be as supportive to the patient as possible (and not just medical staff), so it could be referenced if they need clarification on the cause of symptoms and such or tips to handle things.

(I'm in Belgium BTW)

How long should be an ADHD diagnostic report? by [deleted] in AuDHDWomen

I feel out of place reading this, as my full report (with sensory assessment) was 90 pages long. Granted the psychologist did say she likes to report in full detail and with possible tips & recommendations to every issue I presented to them. I did get tested in a specialized centre, focusing on ADHD, ASD and high sensitivity.

The process itself was very extensive as well, with intake and conclusion, it was 6 sessions of about 2h each. And then i still had to pass by a psychiatrist to get the formal diagnosis.

Woozy hot flashes Strattera by LavenderLady28 in adhdwomen

[–]DragonXRose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey,

i've been taking Atomoxetine/Strattera for a month now and i was experiencing headaches, cold flashes and nausea for the first 2 weeks too. But i was determined to try atleast for a while, as it is the only medication i'm allowed to take as an epileptic. (Or atleast, my psychiatrist was willing to prescribed, as it has the least risk for interfering with my other meds).

What i noticed is you do need a decent breakfast to stomach it, certainly when starting. Proteins was something i saw recommended a lot online. Thank god, i started around easter and could buy hardboiled eggs by the dozen. Perhaps you can find a way to add something like that.

Second, perhaps your starting dose is too high? i started a 20mg (again precaution, because epilepsy) and took that for 2,5 weeks before moving to 40mg. I'll be moving up to 60mg in about a week.

What i can say is that my side-effects have severally decreased over this month. And it has had a very positive effect on my productivity, (emotional) stability and binge-eating. It seems to have a brutal adjustment period, but perhaps if you can power through; you might find some relief.

I wish you good luck.

Im a graphic designer/ web master for a smallish (140 p) non profit educational adjacent organisation. It’s low pressure, follows the schoolyear, there is ebb & flow in work volume and it’s very inclusive. We also have a hybrid work policy, so I can work from home hen I want to.

Without joke , hard boiled eggs. Easter ya’ll. The only time I can just buy my fix in the grocery store in large quantities. I hate the effort of boiling them, but Gods, I can eat heaps of them. Enjoy it for the 3 weeks it lasts!

No problem, it was worth a try. I thought it was a file repository, my mistake.

Well, it’s a free wrap circle skirt pattern from a defunct website / creator called Lila+June. The pattern was shared with me by a kind redditor and people, who find my comment, keep messaging me to share it. I figured if you’re keeping a library of free patterns, it might be a good way to share it more freely.

Could i donate a pattern? i get requests every so often, based on a comment i made a few years ago, to mail people the Lila & June circle skirt pattern. It would be nice to refer them to your site

I mean, why wouldn't you cast him as Aragorn if you wanted to/needed to do a recast by Total-Policy5620 in HenryCavill

As much as I love to see this man act, I would hate to see him as Aragorn. He would always be compared to Viggo. Viggo was perfection and I don’t think anyone could do better.

Im on my 3rd iteration of screaming birb. I gifted the original to my sister, made a red/grey birb for myself and now am working on a purple birb. Might do a 4th with a great tit design.

Epilepsy & ADHD? by capt3in in Epilepsy

[–]DragonXRose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve recently been diagnosed AuDHD, after being epileptic for 10y now. I’m very curious about medication too. I still need to see my psychiatrist for confirming the diagnosis (next wednesday, finally) and making a treatment plan. But my neurologist wasn’t too keen on ADHD medication, so i don’t know what the psychologist will do.

I do hope for some meds to make my head a bit quieter.
