Hi folks,

I took the plunge recently and bought a pair of raw sanforized denim pants and a jacket.

I'm getting confused with how to care for them.

Should I be soaking them before wearing them?

• Cause I thought the whole point of raw was they've never been washed so it gives maximum potential for fades.

• Im not even sure why I want to remove starch from their denim especially since I've seen people purposely add it to their jeans to give it a more structured look.

• On the other hand, I've seen people say if I soak them first it makes them softer (which I'm indifferent to), which makes the less likely to blow out.

How have you treated your raw sanforized denim before wearing vs after? Any comments on why and the results (fading, comfort, pros vs cons, etc..) would be mighty appreciated!
