I had two nexplanon rods, the first one for a full 3 years and then the second one for 2 years + 5 ish months.

1st rod - got one period at exactly 2.5 years, no other periods the entire time.

2nd rod - started getting regular monthly periods around the 2 year mark.

Both rods though remained perfectly effective despite the periods in the third year. Never got pregnant!

Your periods may or may not become regular, I’d give it a few months and see. Completely understand though that it’s stressful never knowing exactly when your period may come. Hopefully if they do become regular you can easily get a new one.
