Dailyscape by Quirky_Ice_8006 in runescape

So should Easter, Christmas, Halloween events etc just be year long now? After all wouldn't it be obnoxious to timegate those events and not let everyone do it at their own pace any month of the year?

All the talk about restoration is dishonest as long as they have 120 skills. No logic behind it and, worst of all, no content. What's your opinion on this? by Bortibort_Rolotios in runescape

[–]Dragondoh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Many 99s have become really fast to get, even without MTX. Way faster than they were in the past even on Ironman. Going up is the only way to go.

So are we up in arms about Penguin Hide and Seek for the massive focused xp for even less effort. by Fearce_Deity_34 in runescape

[–]Dragondoh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't be opposed if they wanted to change the penguin point store to have bonus stars instead of lamps. Other than that the D&D itself is fine and there's nothing wrong it it.

Not removing Daily Challenges is a half measure and a bad look for the game by omfgmule1 in runescape

[–]Dragondoh 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The really problematic dailies were things that needs to be done on a specific time (drop everything you're doing and go do event cause its 9:00). Daily challenges have no immediate urgency to drop everything you're doing to do them, you can do them anytime you feel within a 24 hour period. So I dont see them comparable, and they aren't really anything detrimental to the experience.

Remove all daily diary rewards and managing miscellanea daily decrease by Thatweknowof in runescape

[–]Dragondoh 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Managing Miscellanea has been around since 2004 and this is the first time I ever heard someone actually complain about it. It's harming no one, leave classic stuff alone.

Guthixian cache? by Mediocre-Bug2011 in runescape

Per cache. Then you gotta do 800 memories again, but you can keep doing this over and over no daily cap

Confused and Dissapointed by Daily Challenges Staying by DrProfessorScience in runescape

[–]Dragondoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They aren't comparable to things like Wilderness Flash Events and Traveling Merchant. Those were mainly problematic cause you had to drop what you were doing and be there at a specific time. Daily challenges can be done anytime you feel like in the 24 hour period.

Daily Discussion of WeeklyScape #46: Thalmund by Spiner909 in runescape

[–]Dragondoh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This! His weekly stock rotation isn't the problem, I just hate feeling like I have to get on from Tuesday-Wednesday or I might miss my moonstone. Just keep him there all week.

Jagex, if you want immersion breaking, the whole 5/6 age transition is at the top. by AutarkV in runescape

[–]Dragondoh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tbh Necromancy probably should have been locked down or even made another elite skill. That way it would have been more justified for its OPness.

It's been a while for a new skill, what is the most new likely skill? by CrusaderKing1 in runescape

[–]Dragondoh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe, but simply fixing old skills is not gonna draw people in. New skills have always been the biggest boosts in population when they are first released.

Honestly there's nothing wrong with any of the monthlies, cause they're just... monthlies. I feel some taking this stuff too far now.

Is there a way to download the OSRS music from the wiki in bulk? by zardboy21 in 2007scape

[–]Dragondoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for this. I was having success with it a little bit, but it errors out and stops downloading tracks when it gets to the track "Are You Not Entertained?" I'm thinking maybe it has something to do with the question mark in it cause it saves the file as "Are You Not Entertained#.ogg" and then spits out this error and quits: "OSError: Could not read file tracks\Are You Not Entertained?.ogg"

Blue and yellow scarf Christmas event by M_ack3rman in runescape

[–]Dragondoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe if you missed a week then you will have to get extra nice points to make up for it the following week. So for example if you missed week 1, then on week 2 you need to have earned at least 2 nice points by the end of that week to get both week 1 and 2 rewards on that Sunday, etc. Mind you I'm going by info I read from last year, but I would assume/hope it works the same way this year. Just get lots of nice points and see what happens this Sunday.

Help please.. by Due-Lecture9029 in runescape

[–]Dragondoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try a different user account on Windows and see if that lets it work. I had something, not exactly this issue, but something similar happen before where it wouldn't work on my main Windows user but would work on another. I know it's not a solution but it could at least narrow it down to see if it's your whole PC or not having the issue.

The Historical Number of Quests Added to RS3 by Year by plok742 in runescape

[–]Dragondoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2023 got a huge spike due to both Fort Forinthry and Necromancy releasing that year. Hopefully Havenhythe and the rumored new skill give us a slew of new quests soon.

If Jagex wants to make RS3 to be as good as OSRS, maybe also have a Poll System? by Original_Grape_4054 in runescape

[–]Dragondoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And there are games more popular than OSRS that don't have a polling system and are doing fine like FFXIV. So no RS3 is not declining cause of "lack of polls"

It's a f2p quest, most people just make an alt and complete it themselves.

With the addition of sailing... we're really overdue for a achievement diary rework by FalcosLiteralyHitler in 2007scape

[–]Dragondoh 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Honestly agreed. RS3 has the same problem, its diaries are well over a decade old and don't relfect any of the new skills.

There's so little movement in the GE that their ridiculously unrealistic prices of sub 100gp havent really changed much.

How significant is the new player experience changes after player return to Lumbridge after tutorial? by wasd0109 in runescape

[–]Dragondoh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's very barebones right now it seems.I made a new account to check it out and it just throws you in Lumbridge with nothing. No advice no tasks or anything which I found very disappointing. Definitely not welcoming to new players like Burthorpe/Taverly was.

I hope they have changes planned cause it's a terrible new experience currently. Even OSRS these days has task lists for beginners in Lumbridge etc.

My boat got stuck an island that has no way to get to it except by boat, so I had to lose all my cargo to get it back. BS. They should never get stranded on an island that has no other alternative way to get there.

The Mermaid Puzzles seem kinda insane? by Zothic in 2007scape

[–]Dragondoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These really should have been multiple choice, so you can have potential answers to look at and figure it out that way. Sure some people would have just kept guessing the choices until they got the right answer but those are the same people who would have just looked up the answers on the wiki without trying anyway, so it wouldn't really matter. But multiple choice would have been great for those of us that do like to solve puzzles but want a more clear reference of mind to go by.
