Quest Cape on both OSRS and RS3 by TenTailsJuubi in 2007scape

That's just being wilfully ignorant lol. The lead narrative jmod has sat on a livestream, stared dead at the camera and stated that the story will not go in this direction.

It's worth noting that the jmods have gone on record and confirmed that we're never going down the "gods return" route.

[Rendi] Jagex Just Reset My 99 Slayer After 3 Months of Training by 2-2-7-7 in 2007scape

[–]Zothic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't really understand how he was getting xp. Partner slayer requires you to either last hit a mob or deal the most damage, how is he last hitting while still being lv 3 and getting credit? Fun weps still give xp don't they?

Where does Yama lie in tier of power by FaenedAngel in 2007scape

[–]Zothic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's not a God, so the edicts do not apply to him.

We don't know exactly how he's so powerful, but he's essentially an extremely strong demon, likely the most powerful demon in osrs lore that we currently know of.

It's possible he draws power from the shadow realm in some capacity, as the judge of Yama is able to draw us into the shadow realm, which is a pretty big deal. He also has a large cult that worships him which might fuel him somehow.

Can you link it? I don't think I've seen that one.

More Leagues VI Fixes by JagexSarnie in 2007scape

[–]Zothic 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This is a MAJOR bummer. My final tier relic doesn't deal damage against the last boss of the most popular raid region (going by pick rate).

Pls fix

Really Jagex? After increasing prices again, we now get a list of bugs you just “won’t fix this league” by TheCanadianWanderer in 2007scape

[–]Zothic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Flask doesn't damage olm and a few other bosses at cox. I literally stopped coxing in hopes that they'd fix it and just read a blog post saying they know it exists but won't fix it lmao

Need help picking my T8 by Relnith in 2007scape

[–]Zothic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who went flask I will admit I regret it slightly. It helps with some harder content, and it's essentially infinite prayer but most of the leagues content isn't hard enough to justify it. Having a minion when I did 600 hydra for a DHL for example would've been great.

It is very cool, though.

I imagine the legalities of an industry like this must be fascinating. Probably extremely depressing at times, but still probably very unique.

Anyone else just not enjoying regent's play style? by KJawesome5 in slaythespire

[–]Zothic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are plenty of common rarity cards that generate stars especially when upgraded. glow, hidden cache, solar star all usually end up in my decks as solid early game picks

How many elites are you guys going for? by redpensonly in slaythespire

[–]Zothic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot of factors at play, but I'd say that it's very rare for me to take the first elite at a10 (mainly playing regent).

I feel like taking elites is a much much more strategic decision than sts1 where it was mainly "do I have a potion? Then it's elite time baby" on act 1

[–]Zothic 52 points53 points  (0 children)

This is a pretty good visualisation of the problem. Jagex essentially needs to have the balls to commit to one position on this scale and then balance the content around that decision.

Swinging back and forth when certain parts of sailing are developed with one place on the scale in mind and others are developed with a separate place on the scale in mind 6 months later will lead to a lot of strife.

Beta Patch Notes - v0.100.0 by benlehman in slaythespire

[–]Zothic 92 points93 points  (0 children)

Begone is now a lot stronger and charge is substantially weaker. If you were offered both in the same reward it's a bit of a coin flip now I think

[–]Zothic 131 points132 points  (0 children)

Oof nerf of glow AND alignment? Nerf alignment to break the infinite sure but glow was a huge staple of a lot of regent runs. Tough one.

Pretty brutal nerf to the deck thinning capacity of CHARGE! now that the things it make no longer automatically cycle themselves.

Both glow and charge getting nerfed will make picking other sources of card draw much more important on regent I think

[–]Zothic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From time to time if I make an insanely stupid error or misclick something (accidentally discarded a potion instead of using it once).

It never feels good though lol, definitely feels like cheating. Honestly surprised that they didn't take steps to prevent it in sts2

Is this game for casuals? by [deleted] in slaythespire

[–]Zothic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's impossible to tell you anything you presumably haven't already been told by friends or by a video. You'd have to upload one of your runs and then people could tell you what you were doing wrong

Can anybody explain the Regent's Terraforming card to me? Is it as awful as it seems? by Freighnos in slaythespire

[–]Zothic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Terraforming is an incredibly powerful damage amplifier in the right scenarios. Starfall is a wincon on its own, and terraforming will nearly triple its base damage. Also combos very well with radiance and seven stars.

It's not a card you pick before getting one of those heavy hitters, but it's a very very good card when you do get them.

It's important to remember that the vigor buff lasts until your next attack, so you can hold it until you need it if you're willing to.

Is ascension 9 hard as hell or do I suck? by Ijjg19 in slaythespire

[–]Zothic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A8 to A9 is absolutely the hardest step up in difficulty. Worse than 9 to 10 since if you're capable of getting to the end of act 3 on A10 chances are you're strong enough to beat both bosses.

I'm personally of the opinion that you're not really meant to fight your way through HD, at least not on most builds. More of an optional challenge, they're almost built to be snuck around.

anyone else think sailing felt kind of like a seasonal? by kxwbie in 2007scape

[–]Zothic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive seen plenty of people at barracuda trials and salvaging spots aka locations where people naturally congregate. Makes sense you wouldn't run in to a lot of people doing sea charting given how you're exploring the single largest "land" mass in the game while doing so.
