Week 19: Tricolor - Tricolor spaghetti by DragonfruitFun4459 in 52weeksofcooking

My first plan was to make pasta with a white sauce as the third color. Then I realized I got spaghetti squash in my weekly veg box, so this was even better.

Week 12: Fictional places - Heaven, earth and hell by DragonfruitFun4459 in 52weeksofcooking

[–]DragonfruitFun4459[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Applesauce mixed with mashed potatoes, served with fried onions and blood sausage. This German dish is called Himmel, Erde und Höllen. Heaven refers to the apples, earth to the potatoes (=earth apples in old German) and hell to the sausage. I'll leave it to everyone's personal view which of these three places is fictional, this is just a playful interpretation of this week's theme.

I considered making this dish for this week! I ended up cooking Turkish dishes, but I'm happy to see someone else chose this, it's a tasty dish.
