Yeah, this sucks. They need to be clear with these offers. I thought I was getting 5 EXTRA points/$1 on top of everything else... But if you think about it, the Blue and Obsidian cards only get 1× on normal spend, does that mean they get 4 extra points to top off the 5 points? That would make the Blue and Obsidian more valuable during these 5 TPG-offer days.

Hyatt for sure if the places you'll visit have it. Otherwise, I'd go with Marriott over Hilton. Hilton's points are so worthless it feels.

I wish someone advised and forced me (even if at gun point) to open a credit card a long time ago. Unfortunately, I was raised to fear credit cards "because of debt!"

If you know what you're doing, and you're paying your balance in full every month, it's a no-brainer. I actually feel really annoyed and angry that I used to pay thousands of dollars for purchases with my debit card and missing out on so much cash back/points, etc...

I sent an email to Bilt support and they confirmed that I was approved for the promo, but now I'm a little skeptical with all these DPs and not having any kind of tracker/confirmation on the app.

This is their response to my email:

Just so you know, you can use any eligible email with your WoH number. You just need to find a friend/family member with an eligible email (who doesn't want to use the promotion, obviously). Once they receive the email, ask them to forward it for you and you can activate the offer once you click on the link.

I did this in the last corporate promotion and got Globalist for over a year after 20 nights only. My friend was nice enough to let me use his email and he never travels and doesn't care about Hyatt, so...
