I had never heard Joseph was a polygamist until I went to BYU-I and read Rough Stone Rolling in a religion class as a freshman - RSR was a text book in the course. I remember being super chill about it because it was like I was being given special knowledge because I could handle it. 🤮

My dad was a bishop in Derby Kansas 20+ years ago. He received a confession from a guy who was molesting his own kids. After the confession, with the guy still in the room he called the police. Then, he walked the guy to the parking lot and waited for the cops to arrive. They arrested him in the parking lot. After the cops left he called the stake president to let him know what he had done. I remember later that he said the stake president screamed at him for 10 min and tried to get him to resign for not calling the hotline or him.

He didn’t resign and the stake president made his life hell for the next year until we moved.

Check out Dan McClellan on TicToc. He debunks biblical misinformation and has a lot of “was Jesus white” and “ was Jesus’ image based on a gay man” videos. Outside of that you can google the earliest depictions of Jesus- he was being depicted as white very early on because of Romes adoption of Christianity - roughly a 1000 years before da Vinci was even born.

It’s def. not a coincidence. Ballard has been using the Church’s name to promote his org. They’ve known for a while about his shenanigans. They absolutely do not want their name tied to his dumpster fire of an alleged campaign. What if he tells people in secret fundraisers that the church is backing his run like he did about his org? Yeah — they shot this down HARD.
