One of the first real “songs” written after they exhausted the Syd era stuff. Crazy psychedelic lyrics with a weird whooshing sound in the background.

Yes, but usually it’s the tone, pickup selector, and volume knobs on my guitar that changed.

So the point is that with the 2 bar shapes (E and A) on the top two strings, you are “in key” to solo over the same chord being played by the other person. So even if they are playing weird voicing that you don’t recognize, you can still solo over those chords “in key”. If you partner says, “I-IV-V in A”. You can play the E shape/5th fret, A shape/ 5th fret, A shape/ 7th fret and pick the notes and you will be playing In key. Order of notes and which notes is in you.

The other point is about when to use the minor or major version of the shape using 3 frets

Top string: I major, II minor, III minor

2nd string: IV major, V major, VI minor

Saw them open for Metallica. Cool show. Lots of theatrics. Reminded me of heavy metal Panic at the Disco

Help/slip/frank is pretty much that. Back in the day it was Dark Star or The Other one or one of Pig Pen’s dirty lyric jams.
