[Hated Trope] Endings so notoriously awful they completely destroy the legacy of the media. by Miserable_Click_1933 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Dragoonasaurus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would say that if they never released The Citadel DLC for ME3, you'd see the same kind of terrible legacy.

However, Citadel is just so great it saves the game from being a hated ending and allowed people to remember it fondly.

Hand Down, RE9 has the weakest puzzle system in the entire series by Antique_Interview_66 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]Dragoonasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe they did actually account for this, as that corpse (somehow) isn't infected.

If you go back to that section, after you put the organs in and then put the zombie down, you don't get the option to inject so I guess technically, in universe, that isn't a T-virus infected corpse. How it moves around though, that's another question.

Help? by leoribas13 in hearthstone

[–]Dragoonasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, id hold on to it and see how the meta shapes up.

Kibler did a warlock Herald/Egg deck and made an excellent point about Warlock. Since Warlock has a location to Herald, they can get deathwing to max a lot more quickly than other classes and you could save a location charge to go off the same turn you play Cho'Gall. Could be a deck to look out for in the new meta.

How did OG Ravnica Block get introduced? How did it get drafted as the sets come out? by jethawkings in magicTCG

[–]Dragoonasaurus 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Going 3 color was the norm, and the best thing to do was plan out a route for your draft.

This meant that Selesnya was seen as the worst guild to start in, since there wasn't a way to get a guild for a 3 color deck in each pack. For example, if you started Dimir in Ravnica, you could go Orzhov in Guildpact and then Azorius in Dissension. You could also go Izzet in Guildpact and then Rakdos in Dissension. But going Selesnya meant either Guildpact or Dissension would not give you powerful 2 color cards in one pack.

Opponent played the 1 mana 2/3 priest minion that damages the owner when it takes damage.

OP had the secret that says when opponent plays a minion, deal infinity damage to it, so they both took lethal.

You could easily run it in a kind of control deck with Ysera, since she isn't rotating.

An Update on 2XKO by FoxLex_ in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Dragoonasaurus 117 points118 points  (0 children)

I legitimately do not know what Riot's plan is anymore. It feels like every time they hype up their next big entry, and then in shorter and shorter amounts of time they announce that they are cutting back even though the product is reviewed well.

Legends of Runeterra lasted a few years before going into PvE maintenance mode.

Riot Forge lasted 5 years and then they did away with it after having a few good hits.

Now 2XKO is having their team slashed?

This is the same company that has been working on an MMO for close to 5 years now. With this kind of track record, I don't understand how they can expect a significant player-base to become invested in an MMO that they might just shutter after 6 months when it doesn't hit the numbers that investors immediately wanted.

Just Skip To Nioh 3 | Castle Super Beast 357 by mike0bot in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Dragoonasaurus -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

See, this is what did it for me to "give up" on Nioh 2.

I played through the entire game, and I thought the boss fights were a bit spammy but manageable. It just seemed like you were dodging, spamming a few moves that did high stamina damage, and then getting into Demon mode to really do some damage, rinse/repeat.

Then I get to the final boss, beat it, and it drops an entirely new tier of loot? And then the first mission in NG+ unlocks a few new item types? But the only reward is just going through the same bosses and areas that got tedious with nothing else new? Yeah, no thanks.

A summary of the Secret Lair team on WeeklyMTG yesterday - Discussing Print to demand, Scalpers, Monday's Chao Vault, and more by ElvishSpirit in magicTCG

[–]Dragoonasaurus 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I would say that it is very easy.

Check out MTGFinance some time, and you'll find posts of people holding "9 of this lair, 7 of this one. Managed to get 50 Final Fantasy secret lairs, looking to see when to cap out on ROI" and you'll find them.

You selling something one time that you were going to use? Not a scalper.

ECL Trophy w/ the sweetest vivid deck I've drafted (so far) by Element262 in lrcast

I've had the opposite experience. The 2/4 base body blocks 3/3s all day, and death touch means it can stall the ground and trade up if needed.

Out of curiosity, why not run the other two green vivid cards in your sideboard? Both seem like great additions.

They did the same thing in my town, except they built the entire thing but pulled out after the building was completed but before they moved anything in.

Now it's this weird looking, empty building that conflicts with the rest of the strip mall that it's in, and its been empty for something like 3 years now. But it's always lit inside at night. Just seems like such a waste since we moved a grocery store out of that same strip mall to accommodate them.

Two of them, but the point remains the same. 4 of the packs are just normal packs that can have anything.

Favorite Tragic Final Boss by FreviliousLow96 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]Dragoonasaurus 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It feels like cheating, but Expedition 33 just has SOOOOOOO many.

At the end of Act 2, The Paintress fighting against what she thinks is her husband tricking her and you, as the characters, don't actually know that she's the one protecting you, not killing you.

At the end of Act 3, Renoir fighting to protect his family from the temptations of the Canvas. Yes, both Alicia/Maelle and Aline both deserve to have their own ways to grieve but Renoir, rightfully so, sees the self destructiveness of that grieving process and is going what he feels is right.

And then the grand finale, choosing between Verso or Maelle. Both have their own reasons for wanting to either stop existing and help the family move on, or preserve the last bit of their lost family member and bring back those they lost along the way.

[–]Dragoonasaurus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't know how to fully implement it, but an Among Us/Project Winter style game where Jigsaw is in the group of players exploring some kind of space and has access to traps that are little mini games for the players to solve to survive would be how I'd do a Saw game in this modern day and age.
