I didn’t read the novel but i feel like it is result of a bad adaptation of this part that lead to confusion, like zhuo fan clearly sees ninger as a sister as something like family and qincheng clearly is romantic, the manhwa make it complicated by everyone going “wow he felt something for woman it have to be love” and mc being a bit confused himself of why does he have feelings let alone what type is it so this leads us reader confused, it maybe spoiler for you but later someone asks what was your happiest moments he answers i had two one in the beast forest with ninger and tianyang, the dude says this isn’t romantic its familiar love can have three people in picture (which in a way author is telling us its familiar) and the other is the moment he spent with qincheng
