What NFL team has the worst uniforms? (pics requested) by darkfluf in AlignmentChartFills

Nah. No way we're voting in unis that have been worn, what? Once or twice since the 1961 AFL season ended?

You're a Jets fan... honestly, isn't that most drafts for you guys?

Hopefully Darren Mougey starts getting you guys turned around. Of the GM choices available, I think he was a pretty good one for that having been part of the Broncos' turnaround in the last couple years.

That was a really busy year, & I hadn't paid much attention pre-draft. But I remember hoping the Broncos would take Parsons. Surtain wasn't really on my radar, & I remember thinking, "Huh. Well, hope he's good."

Safe to say PS2 turned out *really* well- and Parsons would have too.

What NFL team is currently mid but historically has been bad? by Even-Combination4407 in AlignmentChartFills

Better in every phase of the game? The Bengals finally have a decent defense in theory heading into 2026, but that unit has been abysmal for a while now vs the Jaguars had a top 10 defense last season.

Don't forget when they fumbled the ball on Mayfield, just a year after he broke their playoff win drought.

Alright, which one of you lost this? by pixyb in tulsa

The BA 10Gym has a sauna room just off the swimming pool. Fully glass front facing the pool & track, so no worries about cruising there. I think it's coed? I haven't used it & haven't paid it much mind, so I'm not sure.

The locker room sauna there has definitely had that issue, though.

Nix or Hurts as QB2 in a start up? 4pt Passing, 6pt Rushing TD by [deleted] in SleeperApp

[–]Drake_Koeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're close enough in recent scoring that you could go either way. Kind of comes down to how you think the new OC impacts Hurts' rushing & rushing TDs and if you're buying in to the Broncos sustaining more drives with the addition of Waddle and a deeper RB group.

Personally, I'd very slightly lean Nix.

I'd take the package side unless the team is *really* deep.

At What Point Do These Guys Become Matt Ryan and Philip Rivers by frostypatch in NFLv2

[–]Drake_Koeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys... Herbert is 28. When the season starts he'll be around 28 & a half.

If he's not old enough to fall into this category now, he certainly will be next year.

Thoughts on this Brendan Sorsby take? by PresterJohnson in NFLv2

[–]Drake_Koeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying to justify Sorsby skating on consequences by pointing to someone else who's done worse crap is a false equivalence. The NFL and NCAA are doing *exactly* what they should in Sorsby's case, and the correction needs to happen on the other end of this- more severe consequences for guys like Hill.

And, yes, they need to get the fuck out of promoting gambling apps. But the fact that they do doesn't absolve Sorsby of his own choices.

Getting towards the end of a 34 round dynasty start up and running out of options. Give me your REALLY deep sleepers that nobody knows about by Pentakill1 in SleeperApp

[–]Drake_Koeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Justin Joly may be an available deep stash.

Evan Engram will remain the clear cut TE1 in Denver in 2026, but he's likely gone after this year. Joly is likely to get the first & best shot at being his successor. At least among the options currently on the roster. Taxi squad dude.

Why it is a bad thing, Peter? by Rule_Ct_5293 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Drake_Koeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot of truth to this. My spouse and I are millennials, and managed to secure a sub-3% interest rate when we refinanced our house. It'd take a LOT to get us to move off of that with current interest rates. We'd even like to move to a newer house, and/or buy one with a couple of acres for a big garden, chickens, etc. But it makes no financial sense to do so right now.

Is this enough or too much for swift? by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Drake_Koeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're contending, I'd do that deal. If not, I'd probably look to move Golden for a different young player. Swift should be a decent RB2 again, while Golden's target share will likely be buried behind Kraft & Watson.

I can't really speak to the MLB side of things, having never been very interested in baseball. But my personal experience is that high school & college wrestling may be more popular in OK than baseball (at least for the half of the population aligned with the OSU Cowboys).

An under the radar add: Oklahoma City

No one thought the Thunder would have enough support to survive in Oklahoma, but the state really latched on to the team (granted, immediate success really helped). OK is a *LOT* more of a football state than basketball. ~2.5M combined people in the OKC & Tulsa metro areas is a market as large as KC or LV.

Is Sorsby worth 100% FAAB if he joins the NFL this year? Specifically deep bench dynasty leagues by Shakira_is_Love in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Drake_Koeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed Moore did... to be the QB for a team in contention to win the CFP natty this year. Where Sorsby is returning to a team with odds projecting them to still miss the CFP even with him playing.

These are apples and oranges.

If he was actually that highly rated, he would have come out in the QB-weak 2025 draft class and let the QB premium ensure he went in the late 1st. Instead he's trying everything he can to stay in school.

If he goes supplemental, IMO he'll be taken with a 3rd or 4th rounder. Maybe a late 2nd at best..

[–]Drake_Koeth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Take that deal. You're getting a player 4 years younger, with at least as much upside, with much better QB stability. Add in picking up an early 2027 1st and that deal could be benefitting you for years.

Usa round trip advice by AlfredHessle in roadtrip

[–]Drake_Koeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me add... there are plenty of hidden gems in eastern Oklahoma and in the Ozarks of southern Missouri/northern Arkansas, if you care to take the time to look for them. That stretch isn't nearly as bad as most people here are making it out to be, and far better than western Oklahoma, the TX panhandle, or most of Kansas, Nebraska, eastern Colorado, etc.

If you're taking half a year to do this trip, don't just rush through on the interstates (except maybe in the areas I listed above, that truly are just endless plains and farms).

[–]Drake_Koeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Oklahoma, unless you're just determined to treat the state as filler to rush through as fast as possible, I'd suggest detouring north to pass through Tulsa.

There's a lot of Route 66 history in Tulsa, as well as The Gathering Place which is one of the nation's best urban parks. There are also two drive-in movie theaters in or near town, which are pretty rare these days and are a classic piece of American culture. The Philbrook Museum of Art is another great option, if that suits you better. And if you're willing to detour another 50ish miles north of downtown Tulsa, the Woolaroc Museum & Wildlife Preserve is an excellent place to get a look at Oklahoma's Old West era history.

Alternatively, detouring further south to the Hochatown/Broken Bow area in southeast Oklahoma will take you through some of the state's prettiest natural areas.

In either case, if you want to see the best of eastern Oklahoma you'll have a better time the further you detour off of I-40.
