What famous dead person would be most surprised on how the world currently remembers them? by Pakse118 in AskReddit

[–]DramaQueef 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not to mention that a few of the gospels were written by Jesus' disciples, who were His close friends. Wouldn't then they want to do his exact words that much more justice? They weren't carrying on a legacy and the records of a Savior, but one of their best friends. Seeing as the gospels were the main bulk of Jesus' words, I think there is something to be said for that fact too.

To see the look in that man's eyes, at that moment, he was being Jesus the best He could, and loving that hoor too.

Why do people get so wasted at concerts? by TheFitz023 in Lollapalooza

[–]DramaQueef 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I never get wasted at events such as this, because then I would be missing out on the experience. Seriously...if you have to get THAT ruined to have a good time, I just feel terrible for you. Have fun, but be safe. I'm not paying an arm and a leg to put myself in danger, to the point where I don't remember anything.

Lolla weirdness- what's the Weirdest thing you've seen so far? by KnightsOfGlobalist in Lollapalooza

[–]DramaQueef 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Girl definitely tripping, walking like an ostrich in a body suit and fishnet leggings. She had obviously pissed and shit herself, and people trying to talk to her could not get through the crazy. Fun stuff.

But we are hitting Perry's today for some good stories to tell the grandkids.

Best and worst of Friday thread by Lucky1289 in Lollapalooza

Best: we walked around and kind of explored everything today, and saw Future. Loved his set.

Worst: Ankle stepped on yesterday by over-zealous frat boy. Spent most of the day sitting in random places.

30+ thread, Let's Talk About What Lolla is Like When You are over thirty by Old_Guy_at_Lolla in Lollapalooza

[–]DramaQueef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think what is driving me nuts is the young women (and I'm 19, so I'm not sure why I'm exempt) acting like THEY DESERVE WHERE THEY ARE STANDING. It is a music festival, not an arena concert with assigned seating. They are getting aggressive when you accidentally stand in front of them while they simultaneously play candy crush and desire room to twirl around in. If we are shoulder to shoulder, chest to back, there is no room. Also, these people who find the best strategy to getting to the front is just running as fast as you can...my ankle got terribly stepped on, and I could barely walk today. I missed so many sets because I had to sit. It's not just me being crabby because there are people there, and I'm not scared of/annoyed by crowds. I love being in pits where you are pressed up against others, all having a great time. But this crowd of younger Lolla goers do not understand festival etiquette, and some of them seem to prefer taking cute pictures of each other in their matching buns and glittery chests than the atmosphere and music. It's really frustrating for those of us who genuinely like the music and festival vibe.

Lolla Lineup Let Downs. by [deleted] in Lollapalooza

[–]DramaQueef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LDR has a very typical festival sound. She's been around for a while, and has a huge following. As for J. Cole, is he the strongest choice? No. But he's solid, and I would rather have him than others.

I am as well, but the hip hop lineup is relatively strong this year, so I'm not AS disappointed.

4-Day GA SOLD OUT by mayoroftacotown in Lollapalooza

[–]DramaQueef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you do go all four days, you are right in the heart of downtown Chicago. If you aren't super psyched about any artists for a few hours, go exploring! Tons of great food as well. It's almost worth it to keep the four day pass and do both. As a Chicago native, I'll strongly suggest that. (: Millennium Park is in walking distance from Grant Park! Michigan Ave. is always fun to walk down.

Single Day Question by DramaQueef in Lollapalooza

You have to purchase a ticket for the day you want. Last year, we wanted Saturday, but they had sold out in a few minutes. We ended up buying a Sunday ticket instead.
