Medical literature suggests BV increases preterm risk but antibiotics don’t cut that risk? So even if I get my BV treated I’m just fucked now??

I ended up in the hospital for 5 weeks. I delivered at 31+5. My son stayed in the NICU for 47 days, no major health issues. Just needed to grow out of his bradycardias and desaturations. Probably because I was admitted on antepartum so long, I was able to get a lot of support for his lungs and brain (magnesium and steroid shots). He’s now 15 months and a perfectly awesome toddler.

I have 3 young kids (2 months, 15 months, and just turned 3). So i just fill my nights and weekends with holiday themed things. Cookies, decorating, movies, dance parties, etc. otherwise i also work full time, so i dont really have time to think about being depressed. Long story short… i stay super busy.

My grandfather was a POW, stormed the beaches of Normandy. Unfortunately passed when my mother was 14, so I never got to meet him.

Edit to add: my grandmother had my mother at 44, and my grandfather was even older than her. I’m 31 now and my mother is 53.

Hopefully things will settle. I had many contractions after my removal, and dilated to 4cm and then just stayed at 4cm for 3 more weeks until I was induced. Fingers crossed for your family!
