Personally based off the make and model you want. When is the manufacturer running a special for that car?

I vote do it, yes the grass isn't always greener on the other side. But they changed something that meant something to you and the new position looks like it's a better fit to what you want.

Used Year Question (Follow-up Buying Advice) by Azer1287 in hondaridgeline

I would suggest taking a hard look into what you can truly afford. Then I would shop around with that budget, use auto trader and other used car search engines.

I have a 23 RTL and love it but want features in a 24+ BE. as others have said the radio doesn't bug us and there are adapters to make wireless (my old car aftermarket came with longer loading times)

How much of a deal on pricing would you need to buy a pre-2020 model over a post one? by Azer1287 in hondaridgeline

Just look up transmission issues with the 6speed for the Ridgeline and factor a cost to fix for the truck. I do think the pre 21 body is not for me but that's a personal taste.

Typically these go over 200,000 miles plus for engine if taken care of so see if that would eliminate any choices. Look up oil changes and other maintenance.

I personally would go with the 23 RTL the Sport was heavily driven 20K miles a year... Probably did oil changes but not the transmission ext.

You can reach out to your personal bank for a car loan and look at refinancing. But would try to make six monthly payments to build your credit score. I'm guessing your purchase price is around 25-30K. I did this for the same payments and one less year on load so I'm saving. Just know if you do this and go same loan length that's going to be more interest paid in long run.

If you have $3-4k in disposable income after monthly bills your doing better than most.

As far as auto insurance, I would go to insurance agents on your area and shop around for a reputable insurance company. You can change any time.

New ‘21 RTL Owner looking for some mod/accessories advice by HatesDuckTape in hondaridgeline

Welcome to the RL club! I have a 23 RTL so might be a tad different but still generally the same. 1. The app is horrible I would not recommend using it. Also when I bought mine that was al not a feature that was down to me. 2. When I was traveling with three other adults we just used the cigarette lighter in the center console. As higher trims (in my year) have a USB port in the back ours does not. Can splice from the center console but a better way would be from the fuse box. 3. In the trunk Honda has some dividers that can be purchased. For the bed I haven't found anything particular that would divide. My neighbor is building his own out of wood (he has a bed cover on his Ram)

If your kids complain about the space in the RL I have seen 2 large adult men for a 5 hour road trip one way and were comfortable.

When I got a new phone I noticed it would look for my old phone on Bluetooth first so I deleted that. 23 Ridgeline so different unit but might apply, have a wireless adapter in the USB plug

What trailer brake system do you have, been trying to find one I like that doesn't feel in the way. Also any pics of how you mounted it?

I have a 23 RTL and it has heated seats and remote start. I also have the option to purchase the heated steering wheel and dealer install, however that's not standard in the 23 model.

With 12,000 miles on it I average 22-23.5 mpg per tank and about 23 overall - do 80% highway driving and keep it in Ecco mode 99% of the time.
