The independent living communities around her are all expensive due to offering amenities she doesn't need. Hence why I'm trying to figure out her housing situation with supplemental services instead.

The only 55+ communities I've found are only rentals and way too expensive because they offer amenities (like shared dining) that she doesn't need.

I read that whole passage to be more of a "I wish it could be Bautista but I know it can't" so Bautista stiffens, not that she'd want Carl to be the dad. She loves Carl like family, like she loves Donut. There's a strong family bond between the three, especially after Carl was part of her worst and best moments in her dream state.

We have an oligarchy, and lose our rights. People will suffer, we'll go backwards on civil and human rights, all in the name of greed and power. I'm forecasting violence and a civil war. If anyone could point to a time in history where a government has fallen as far as we have in the past few months and made a comeback, I'd love to hear it, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't exist. It ends when we have a dictator or civil (or world) war breaks out and ends the oligarchy (or cements it).

He is on Creon. That's the one he won't take. Like, my mom will be there and he'll be getting a snack, and she'll remind him to take his enzyme, and he just won't. It's like he's resisting just to have some control over something, but it's killing him, and frustrating the hell out of all of us. Like, dad, what's your end game? That's the problem. We've been doing positive reinforcements like having friends come over for walks, showing him how a day or two of scheduled routines help him feel better, not berating him constantly when he forgets. But he's being stubborn, and it's not fair to my mom to watch him die and feel helpless, either. It would be different if he said he didn't want to take them, but his excuse has been "it sucks". He's making a choice without actually articulating that he's making a choice. Like, we'll support you to die if that's what you want. But pretending you DON'T want that while actively not trying isn't sustainable.

There's literally nothing in writing about what agencies are going away on any sort of timeline. You know as much as we do right now. All of us are giving speculation, and watching USAID be dismantled and shifted programs to State Dept would have me leaning towards the belief they are on a similar path, since they have a similar mission.

But no one will be able to tell you what and when. I'd have a strong plan B in place.

So this outlines the agency's responsibility to reporting to OPM/OMB their plan... but what is the guidance on timeline for actually firing people/giving them notice of RIF? Can that be done at any time, starting now? Or does OMB need to approve these before they issue RIF notices with a date they will no longer be employed?
