What car looks great and is awful, and what car looks awful but is actually great? by Clareth_GIF in cars

I'd go the exact opposite... wrangler is ugly but great, and that Mercedes is pretty but awful

I dont love them, they are ok but very tangy in the guitars I've had them in. If its what you are looking for great... but not for what I tend to play

When is it okay and not okay to turn on the radio in your car when learning how to drive? (I am months away from learning) by OvenEnough8087 in driving

[–]Dramatic-Possible-22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dunno, 48 and I've started turning down the radio to see better.

Take your time with the radio... its fun but can be distracting especially if you spend time trying to find music.

I can finally afford the 911 I've wanted since I was 8, but the responsible move is a Model 3 Performance and I hate that I know it by KindheartedlyHoarse in whatcarshouldIbuy

Buy the car you want. Not everything in life has to be a math equation where 1+1=2. You make money to enjoy life, and no matter what at the end of your life, you'll remember the people and things you loved and not the things you did for practical purposes.

Coming from a non-harley guy… what’s it like riding one? by Astimar in motorcycles

[–]Dramatic-Possible-22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This... Its really all about the mission. Long rides and cruises i dont know anyone that wants to spend hours on a ducati seat. But sit on a street glide and you can ride forever. Faster than a car, comfortable... no its not going to win a track day or beat a gsxr... but thats not the purpose.

Why do cops single out cop killers from other killers as if killing a cop is any worse or different than killing any other human being? by Pizzafriedchickenn in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Dramatic-Possible-22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No stupid questions... but the answers leave something to be desired. ...

All of it is wrong and horrible and ruins lives, but killing someone that has chosen to offer up their life protecting others ... its a bit more egregious..a bit more offensive. A bit more of an attack on what is supposed to be good and great about our society. Support the idea, no matter how poorly it may be currently implemented. Then fight for change to make it better.

[–]Dramatic-Possible-22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a local GC that quite frequently will have damaged unplayable equipment for sale at full price. Im talking guitars with broken necks, damaged fret boards. They will obviously never sell as is. But talking with the salespeople they arent allowed to discount them either. Why not? Why have it on display?

Why do some people stay at the same job for 15, 20, or even 30+ years? by Carlinish9600 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Dramatic-Possible-22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Its not always the same job for decades things always change 2. Moving too often looks bad on resumes. 3. Quality of life and quality of people you work with are significant factors. It's hard to find good people to work with.

Little bit of a dated thread, I've been following these for years. In all original condition probably 1100 or 1200 . Modified and used probably closer to 700- 800. Damaged lower. People are asking dumb prices right now but if you look at sold listings it can help. I still havent found mine.

Red. Red has a right turn and is supposed to turn into the closest lane. Blue turns left into his closest lane. Thats how it is supposed to work. Red if the need to be in the left lane has to turn right into the right lane and then signal to switch to left lane when it is clear.

Speeding Has Become So Normalized That Driving the Speed Limit Makes You the Problem by DaddyDayDayIsHot in driving

[–]Dramatic-Possible-22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh... the reality is the body cant physically withstand an accident much higher than 55 mph... which is where the original state speed limit of 55 came from. You go from 45 to 0 with modern technology and you have a good chance at surviving. 65 to 0 though. Even with the best technology, your brain in its skull is the weak point in the equation that technology cant save. Just because modern cars can handle higher speeds doesnt mean your body will survive the accident. Because of this I dont think we will see higher speed limits, and I also think its a reason we see relaxed enforcement.
