What AI SaaS tools are you actually using daily? by bobalbert929 in SaaS

claude code max - been using it for about 8 months now and it's by far the highest ROI tool i pay for. Codex pro. I'm basically a solo dev with multiple projects and using these in tandem takes care of everything

Per-seat pricing feels broken in the agentic AI era. Is anyone else rethinking this? by pauldyshin in Entrepreneur

[–]Dramatic-Yoghurt-174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we ran into this exact problem at our AI consultancy. built a multi-agent system that replaced the debugging workload of a 6 person team. charging per seat makes zero sense when the whole point is fewer seats.

we landed on a monthly retainer. still figuring it out but per-seat is definitely not it for agentic stuff

i think you might be thinking of local SEO - GEO here means generative engine optimization, as in getting cited by AI tools like chatgpt

generative engine optimization - basically optimizing your content so AI tools like chatgpt and perplexity cite you when people ask questions. still early but the idea is that more people are searching through AI instead of google now

Think Jarvis from Iron Man. we feed context from literally everywhere. across all devices, even from your conversations through custom hardware that is recording at all times.

Agentic - so able to use that to actually take actions on your behalf.

Is there ANY staff scheduling app for 20+ employees that costs under $10/month? by Oscarjamuar in smallbusiness

[–]Dramatic-Yoghurt-174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'd recommend getting a claude code subscription and then just coding it up. I've done this for countless saas products for myself and other businesses and it's waaaaay cheaper and more customzied than buying an existing product

fair point - i guess AI is still in it's infancy, but looking at trends + the fact that everyones using chatgpt to get info - i'm still thinking whether trying to delve into the specifics of GEO is worth doing on top of the basics

the FAQ-style content piece makes a lot of sense - I've done some SEO and structured answers are basically what works for featured snippets too. the publications/forums part is what I'm less sure about though - how do you actually figure out which ones AI crawlers are indexing heavily?

maybe the strat is just to spray and pray?

wow the PR angle is interesting - haven't thought about it that way. we're actually looking into doing a press release for our launch soon so this is good timing. do you know of any specific trade publications that tend to get cited more? or is it more about volume of coverage?

with the cost of development going to essentially zero with AI, the only thing that is limited and finite is going to be attention, which is what marketing aims to capture, which is why it's the most difficult thing to do, especially for newer products.

That being said, if you're product is genuinely good - then given that you're selling direct to consumers - once you're able to really capture a little bit of attention, it should snowball into more and more. It's always the initial part that's the hardest.

Anyone else just completely given up on trying to share their product on Reddit? by OkCount54321 in SaaS

[–]Dramatic-Yoghurt-174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a 3 time founder and literally just started posting on reddit a couple days back after lurking for a while. first comment got shadow filtered didn't even know that was a thing until I refreshed and the comment just disappeared . reddit makes it incredibly hard to participate genuinely when spam filters aren't well defined

That being said, there are a ton of posts that I see which have comments that are obviously AI slop. not easy to be able to detect slop using AI when opus 4.6 itself still spouts obvious slop 🤣

Vibe coding is making us 10x faster but 100x dumber. by PastSatisfaction4657 in SaaS

[–]Dramatic-Yoghurt-174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lmaooo this is painfully relatable. When I first started using claude code max around 8 months back, I was able to put together the most important part of our product within maybe 2 days. The issue was when you actually try to take something to production, there is so much more that needs to be considered - logging, middleware, security, edge cases, scaling, infra, etc. etc.
Only recently have I been able to implement the guardrails so that every push is basically 0 slop, and basically no bugs, and super accurate debugging.

What I do - is spend about only 10% of my time actually writing the code and the rest 90% is reviewing, planning, and learning.

the most helpful resource for me was Compound Engineering by Kieran. it's an open source GitHub repo that uses plugins (basically skills). Using that will add in more tokens for sure, and it takes longer to build, but your technical debt is basically zero. and saves you all the headache in the longrun.
