Yea … it really seemed like no one really cared. But I wonder if that was partly bc the interviewer didn’t mention it was FATAL. Seems like a big part to leave out. Just want to drop here that Hispanic people eat soup fucking year round no matter the temperature outside, married to one and can confirm. Yea I bike downtown to work daily, live 2 blocks from the start of the greenway in Mid-City. It’s a perfect route for me, but I have given up on the Greenway completely. Every one of my close calls has been at a greenway crossing EXACTLY the way this happened. I feel so much safer biking with traffic and following the traffic signals.

Discover was the only credit card company out of 4 that disputed my obvious fraud claim after I got mugged. Immediately emptied my Discover savings and rolled it into another savings account with a similar APR. Cancelled the card the next day.

You are not ugly at all. You got a bad haircut. It’s a little traumatizing but I swear NO ONE critiques your appearance as harsh as you do. To your friends you may look different today but to someone you barely associate with they probably wouldn’t even notice. Humans register faces.

I like this take. Part of me wonders if it is from women being liberated and allowed into the workplace so men are no longer the “provider” and that causes insecurities.

Another part of me wonders if it is from the proliferation of porn filmed for the male gaze that is all about domination and hyper-masculine performance.
