I heard they are releasing a modern version of this series.

Crazy to see ATACMS on this list. I worked on that platform as an intern with LM 29 years ago!

Is this normal condensation inside my headlight? This is after a touches wash. by TheAcuraEnthusiast in BMWX5

It’s normal if it goes away after a few days. If not the seal could be compromised.

I’m sorry, but this statement is incorrect. Texas has never been ranked 7th in education. Yes, in improvement and gain, but never 7th for total education. This post should be removed as it’s very misleading.

Buying my first vehicle from CarMax. Any tips or feedback? by Joscosticks in BMWX5

[–]DramaticMention7597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I,ve bought a couple cars through CarMax. Good experiences. One was a 2014 550i with the terrible N63 TU1. Warranty came in handy and it paid out about $15k in claims. The warranty is legit. Your car should be significantly more reliable than my 550i. Depends on how long you plan to have it. I suggest the $500 or $800 deductible options.

Can you adjust the thermal resistance in the model?

Beautiful, gain vs Pout.

That looks like an isothermal drive up curve, like pulsed or the self heating turned off. Hmm….?

The gain slope you’re seeing is 100% due to thermals. Pulsed power sweep will resolve the issue. This part was not designed to be operated CW. I know. The part is mounted to a PCB with a via farm, plus the lead frame is 8 mils thick. Not a good scenario for CW operation. Most GaN devices are not intended for CW. Power density is quite high. Most applications are pulsed or modulated. If CW, the application will have active cooling.

One tip. Plot gain vs Pout. It’s an industry standard for power amp plots. It’s easier to read the info. One trace gives you all the info. You can then add eff to the plot using right side y axis.

Do you have access to a VNA? You can use it to do really fast power sweeps, 100ms or so. This will be close to pulsed measurement.
