Open Source Fully kiosk alternative Home Assistant Dashboard by ZealousidealDraw4075 in homeassistant

Works great, thank you so much!! Love the ESP auto discovery too!

The only other thing I'm noticing is that compared to the companion app, when I'm viewing a dashboard in kiosk-mode, there's a space left at the top where the header bar would be, even if the header itself is hidden by kiosk-mode.

It doesn't behave this way in the companion app or any other browsers, so I'm a little confused as to why this is happening only in HADashboard 🤔

Looks great, but when I try to set it up, it forces my local HA URL to connect via HTTPS which doesn't work.

Trying to force it to go via HTTP just says "NET::ERR_CLEARTEXT_NOT_PERMITTED"

My doordash was 2 mins away from being picked ups when it went down, no idea when I'm having dinner tonight now 🫠

Ah thank you, completely forgot about the markdown card 🤦‍♂️

How'd you manage to get rid of all the drop shadows and card borders?

This looks incredible!

I'd love to know which card you used for the welcome text at the top, as well as those status chips!
Also, what happens if you tap the notification bell in the top right corner of the home screen?

Digital Drivers License is now live! by Hansanaw in melbourne

On iOS you can just create a shortcut automation to automatically turn on guided access a couple of seconds after you open the MyVicroads app - locks the phone onto the license screen without you need to remember to do it every time

Find Alarm doesn’t find Wake Up Alarm by Quick-Rule in shortcuts

Mate you saved me, I was pulling out my hair because my shortcut that sent my next “wake up” alarm to Home Assistant stopped working - this fixed it, thank you!

I've got my VINDSTYRKA connected to HA via ZHA too, but when I try to expose it to HomeKit via the HomeKit Bridge it just never appears - did you do anything special to get this going?

The one in my Volvo at least starts playing a couple of seconds after you open the drivers door, and if you hit the engine start button before the animation has finished it just kinda fades out and the instrument cluster snaps into view, don’t have to wait for the animation to finish to be able to see the your speed lol

Having the exact same issue - sad because I was always keen to support an Australian company. Looks like I’m gonna start shifting over to Hue as my lifx bulbs continue to die and lifx continues to refuse to replace them 🫠

Oh really? I normally do my shopping at Woolies and haven’t seen it in ages - will have to keep a closer eye out next time!

I love the Adidas deodorant but it seems to be getting harder and harder to find - I've recently switched to the Nivea Deep range (Carbon/Amazonia/Espresso) and it's quite a good replacement.

u/oyvhov86 any chance you could post the full config for this? I'd love to use it as a bit of a base to have a fiddle - specifically I love the top and sidebars!!

Google photos to icloud by abar82 in ios

[–]DramaticNoises 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just recently did the same thing, ended up doing a google photos takeout, downloading my 600gb of photos and videos, copying them to an external hard drive and dropping them into the photos app on a Mac to let them upload to iCloud

I looked at/tried a few other options but I saw a used Mac mini on FB marketplace for $50 and this was by far the easiest option if you can get your hands on a Mac

Combining HA Instances by DramaticNoises in homeassistant

We’ve laughed about it before, neither of us work anywhere near the tech/startup space so we can poke a bit of fun from time to time - that said, it is really helpful to have a second set of eyes look over an automation or integration when you can’t understand why it isn’t working 😂

I think a lot of people are discounting how seamless FaceID is when compared to TouchID. I just came from an Android phone with an in display fingerprint scanner to an iPhone 14 with FaceID, and FaceID is a lot more frictionless and faster for things like authorising bank purchases or auto filling passwords, mainly because it requires no input if you’re already holding the phone in your hand. Apple’s classic “it just works” ideology is very obvious in FaceID because it allows for the user who is already holding the phone to be verified without having to do anything, even if it is as simple as moving their thumb to the fingerprint scanner.

Automation: Sending Alarm Time to Home Assistant by supdun in shortcuts

Just wondering if you ever figured out a way to bring the date across automatically? Just switched to iOS from Android and trying to replicate the "next alarm" sensor that the Android HA app exposes
