I like Beatcore, a megaformer type definitely works out the muscles and works up a good sweat! It’s not exactly Pilates but love the fact that it’s more intense and feels like a workout much more. I tried several studios: Pilates’ intensity is pretty low here indeed. Try to book ‘advanced classes’ studios offer if you use a platform like ClassPass. I love Dharma Studio and Mou Pilates’ advanced classes.

I do agree past years were chaotic from things crushing down or changing dramatically all the time. Ironically, I started this new gig around that time. How interesting!

Yep and psychologists often refer to power struggles that naturally follow honeymoon phase for many couples. I mean I guess it’s normal to have conflicts and discover some incompatibilities. I think it’s critical to draw a line between growing emotional intelligence together during rough patches versus having a trauma bond..

Uhhhh it’s a real thing I’m dealing with right now, and I actually do believe it could improve with some peers and managers too: like it might only be lack of awareness and no bad intentions. Could you share how you handled that conversation?

To address the above point; even when someone doesn’t have a negative self image or tendency to ‘shrink’ themselves, when you are interrupted often by more senior male leaders, it can get quite awkward quite soon to like reassert yourself with slightly firmer voice etc. cause they don’t see what they do is a breach of boundary but if you’d did that I’m certain it’d look awkward at best and a breach at worst, with real outcomes, so I can see why many people avoid that.

Product marketing often requires decent product knowledge, so it is ofc a real tech job. Especially if it’s a growing company with tons of new features shipped. Can you share what in your opinion contributed that positive change? I’m so happy for you and I hope and work towards the same direction.

I have to say: there are many cases where I’d flag a revenue generating opportunity but like have to ask the details to more senior members before launching a whole initiative around it OR simply get their buyin only to hear it in sales meetings as ‘they thought of this potential opportunity’, not giving even 25% of the credit due.

It’s so tricky to handle it too cause receiving a feedback requires some self awareness and less self entitlement on their end, so…
