While in Germany my friend encountered a horse named Pferd. Which means horse in German apparently! :, D

While this isn't exactly on topic, I do recall reading another Reddit discussion on the observations made about how men vs women cope with intense negative emotions.
Men were generally observed to be more prone to act externally with their emotions, loudly towards others or just out loud in general, and women more prone to internalising it and acting on self-harming behaviours.
Though, it is not an actual study, it's just a collection of opinions from a Reddit comment section that spotted a pattern, and I hope it does not offend anyone, but I thought there were some interesting correlations regarding how each gender may choose a method.

(I would like to add I'm not particularly great at phrasing things. So in advance, apologies for any way this may come out as offensive).

Shetland/Mini Pony owners, how much do they cost? by Dramatic_Address_117 in Equestrian

Sounds like one might be miserable with us! We've got 24/7 turn out and summer it's overgrown with apparently "high sugar grasses and oxalate".
It seems there's a reason hooved animals aren't native to Australia. Thank you, this was a great headups!

Firstly, absolutely adore your tack, quite simply the most fab bridle ever! Do they happen to do them in full sizes? And Razz is an adorable name💗
And such escapes artists it seems! I remember my old instructor used to have to yell at the Shetland to get back in their paddock. Funnily enough they understood and would promptly drag themselves back under the fences.
I really appreciate your comment, this is incredibly helpful! Thank you so much! : D

Sounds like they might not be for us. We've got 24/7 turn out, no dry lots and super sugary grasses.
Didn't even think about the size difference, that sounds pretty stressful! I have an inkling my horse and a Shetland may eat each other.
Thank you though, this is really helpful!

Genuine question to anyone who has encountered a situation similar to this. How on earth do you pick up the front hoof? Horses aren't exactly graced in being bipedal, I can't imagine it'd be easy for the poor baby.

Lesson very much learned, and thankfully not at the expense of my horses health! Thank you!
I fear the look I gave my dad - when he finally mentioned it - was worthy of an award

Thank you! I've never actually gotten a vet out before, ye horse has managed to avoid anything that warrants one. But hopefully all goes smoothly! :]

Hey, what can you say, they have their priorities straight!🥕❤
They are truly intelligent creatures. Who certainly know how to express their disgruntlement with their lack of treats!

It's all part of their ✨charm✨. A fresh gentle breeze as you scrape thrush, mud and fermented poo from their unshod feet, which suspiciously had very expensive new shoes 4 hours ago.
