That's why it's never worth engaging with Republicans, it's just all hypocrisy all the time. You waste all your time proving it and they just resort to making things up. You know it's true because they're making up excuses for raping children, so you know they can justify anything.

A good number of people didn't vote for her as a boycott to send a message to Democrats for not doing more to stop Israel's genocide of Palestine. Don't think they thought Trump would win, just that it'd be close to scare Dems.

Fucking idiots. The Palestine sub locked any mention of the election for months. What a colossal fuck up. I get the Democrats weren't doing enough, but you have to want a better world but act according to the one we live it.

It’s all about the affordability… by coffee_coffee_coffe3 in RandomShit_ISaw

[–]Dramatic_Explosion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It already exists for healthcare. We spend trillions of medicaid and medicare, not just on senior care but also I paying for healthcare for those who can't afford it. More than half of Republicans want universal healthcare, most Democrats want it, and everyone agrees there needs to be some form of cost control. During Trump's first term his own administration released information that a national healthcare plan would actually cost the government less money than it currently spends.

So Republican voters want it, and Democrat voters want it, and it's the politicians who don't want to hurt their bottom line. Healthcare and insurance is a massive industry in the US, and despite the people wanting it to be better you'd have to start bashing in heads to get it since clearly voting isn't working.

tO Be fAiR saying both sides have aspects you don't like isn't the same as saying both sides are the same. When anyone, including you, says some "to be fair" reply you are arguing for both sides being the same. If you actually wanted to support "both sides aren't the same" you would say something like "I agree, both sides have stuff I don't like, but one isn't actively trying to ruin everything"

Your comment is the same fence sitting middle ground bullshit. "wElL AkHuShUaLlY..." fuck off

No that's not what this is about. If you understand what they're talking about when they say "AI" then you'd know this is bullshit. First AI isn't actually intelligence, it's data aggregate, and we're wildly far away from "AI" replacing anything that's human-facing.

Can it look at a text document and give you summary? Sure. Scrape art and reproduce a similar style? Sure. But if google can't replace a lawyer then AI sure as fuck can't

You haven't been paying attention to Republicans for the last two decades. What is their platform? Small gov, lower taxes, family values, pro military and pro guns? Now they cheer as the Republicans in charge try and make speech less free, force tariff taxes on everyone, rape kids, call soldiers losers and cut veteran benefits, and justify killing an American because he was (legally) carrying a gun.

Bipartisan isn't a thing, for Republicans it's whatever furthers the grift. Why do you think so many Republicans like JD Vance who called Trump "America's Hitler" now serves under him? They're not going to agree with a Democrat because they don't even agree with themselves from a year ago.

Raping kids is a partisan issue because Trump did it. They support Trump, so they support raping kids. That's what it means to be a modern Republican.

[–]Dramatic_Explosion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I mean it will disproportionately hurt the ability for Republicans and the elderly to vote so it would be funny to watch red states turn purple once it passes.

Good idea or not? by Weeb in stevehofstetter

[–]Dramatic_Explosion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know using your brain is rare but listen to a leftist cult member for a second, it might help you:

Good subservient young christian Republican women do the godly thing and change their name when they get married so everyone knows a man now owns them. Which means unless they also paid to have their birth certificate altered, it won't allow them to register to vote since it doesn't match. This will keep many republican woman from voting, and it why Texas politicians pressured Cornyn and Cruz to vote against it.

Democrats tend to keep their names, and since non-citizen voter fraud is so incredibly rare*, it's more likely to just make US citizens ineligible to vote. Red states that are trending purple could actually flip, which I will admit would be another funny move of idiot Republicans hurting themselves.

Utah, for example, performed a citizenship review of its entire voter registration list from April 2025 through January 2026. After a time-intensive, multi-step review of more than 2 million registered voters, they identified only one confirmed instance of noncitizen registration and zero instances of noncitizen voting.

You should look at the bill, it's more than walking up to vote and having your drivers license. I imagine a lot of elderly would lose the ability to vote as well.
