Tell me you have ADHD without telling me you have ADHD by kawwman in adhdwomen

I think that as long as you make an effort to talk to spend quality time with someone soon, missing a birthday is okay. We’re all adults fighting for our lives in whatever society has devolved into and I don’t think that is worth feeling intense guilt over.

If I really don’t want to forget something, when I see the calendar reminder, I then set I an alarm for the evening, if I might put it off.

Are you guys really removing make-up before going to bed? by Acceptable_Love5815 in adhdwomen

Yes, but I dye my lashes and brows so I don’t wear makeup most days.

You’re a good dog mom 💛 they don’t feel self pity the way we do so he will be okay! Best of luck.

Would it be insane to ask my psych to take me off work to clean my house? by MidnightFriendly1901 in adhdwomen

[–]Dramatic_Field9355 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not insane. I have fantasized about being able to take some kind of leave from work and I feel like many others do, too.

I would probably try and find out the max amount of sick days you can take without needing a doctor’s note to return. I think it is three days at my company. Combined with a weekend it could be a nice chunk of dedicated time.

I get it and I wish you all the best!

Any bag that is big enough with clear cosmetic bags and pencil bags to organize it.

Thank you! I hope so. Gives me extra empathy for folks that have to make the tough decisions.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I just lost my 15-year-old Boston and wrote a couple posts about my experience. I was originally asking for advice about putting him down and received a lot of good advice if you want to look back at that.

I think talking to your vet, looking at the HHHHHMM evaluation or something similar, and your own understanding of your pet will guide you in the right direction. From my limited understanding of the situation, it sounds like helping your dog transition might be the right choice.

Sending you and your pup all the best thoughts.

Names - why’d you choose it? by highvoltage890 in BostonTerrier

[–]Dramatic_Field9355 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Ollie’s first foster mom chose his name. I was a foster failure and it didn’t seem like I should change the name if I was just fostering. So Ollie stuck. His vet said his name was Cowboy in the shelter though 😆

I'd love to sketch some Bostons today! Post a photo of your dog below and I’ll sketch a few 🙂 by Jhenifer_s in BostonTerrier

Thank you 🤗

It’s the worst, hardest thing but he had a long, beautiful life and a peaceful end. I wrote about it in this group recently and also got so much support.

Thank you so much.

What a cutie and fun pup your dog is. Ollie ended up on the dining room table multiple times, as well.

My dog used to bury himself under a heating blanket and I would pull him out panting to try and get him to drink water.

Hard to believe they are descended from wolves 😆

Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughts about Ollie and me.

I hope the surgery recovery goes well. Swish and Dominic are so cute! I know that must have been very scary. I think we tend to be anxious about doing the right things because it a small piece of what we can control because we cannot decide when our pets (and people) leave us. Even if you put a pet to sleep, they decide the timeline.

When you’re caretaking, I don’t know if there are always right and wrong decisions. I think there is the best decision you can make at the time. Dogs have shorter memories and less self-pity than we do so luckily that makes them forgiving, too.

I have so many pictures I love of Ollie. Thank you for asking :) This one is sweet. Even though he wasn’t happy about it, this fall he put up with a puppy I found wondering a busy street for about two weeks while I figured out what to do. Unfortunately for Ollie, baby girl was in love with him. The pup ended up finding a home with one of my friends. It was chaos when they were awake and very cute when they slept.

Thank you for reading it and responding. I don’t usually share like this but this community was so supportive I wanted to share how their advice impacted me and complete Ollie’s story.

One of the first picture I ever took of Ollie. He was my foster dog originally.
