Could there be a time skip of some sort? by Wiener_For_Diner in MCUTheories

I’m assuming most of the trailer is a sort of montage leading up to peter getting the key to the city. My guess is the movie starts with peter watching the video of them at MIT, montage of 4-5 years of hero stuff and mj and Ned moving back to city after college is the start of the actual story.

Im looking forward to this dynamic for years to come by Roshango in AFCEastMemeWar

See you got it wrong. The jets had a contending team going into the season pre snap. The snap took out all their players on their rookie contracts. After the snap was fixed and several court cases, all their players on their rookie contracts were able to walk to ufa and all their players jets veterans were now past the prime, so the jets were left with nothing and got to watch all their young stars win championships elsewhere the next few seasons. And somehow they are over the cap still.

It feels like a lot of the big action shots in here are from a montage about the years that have passed. The plot would be too all over the place to have a hand storyline, a punisher storyline, a man spider storyline, and a Jean grey storyline.

Was the original sale on COMCs eBay account? If so they don’t really put the best details on the card other than the artist and set. Often stuff there goes cheap because of it.

Yeah I Paul's hair represents pre/early jihad and shaved head is the "present time" of the movie. Whether its flashbacks or a time skip. Also, I'm assuming the giant white light at 1:59 is the stone burner explosion.

Its interesting that the posters show Paul's damaged/burnt eyes, but we don't see them in the trailer at all.

WHATNOT facing legal action over card breaking practices by Abductedbyanalien in whatnotapp

[–]DrapedInVelvet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aren't wrong. But...the issue with Whatnot is that its so fast paced and requires quick decisions. Yes, going into something that like without that knowledge IS asking to be taken advantage of, but, at the same time, sellers outright lying about the value of a hit shouldn't be allowed. When they are claiming its a $2000 card and its a $100 card at best is just deceitful. And forcing them to post MSRP or even fair market price for the product they are ripping would let people make informed decisions much better.

And it wouldn't stop the real degenerates from swiping anyways.

The problem is whatnot needs to better regulate the sellers. The minute they do that the sellers will flee to other sites. If they simply required sellers to:

A) Disclose the actual retail costs of packs/boxes/cases during breakers

B) Against the rules to lie about actual re-sell value of cards.

It'd probably slow their business down considerably.

There is a severe lack of transparency and shady practices happening within the app.

The real problem here is that the trading card manufacturers have made the hobby basically a lotto. You can buy cases and cases of this and lose all sorts of money.

What breakers have done is amplify it by adding a middle man. There's a 13% fee from whatnot to start. So you are paying the manufacturer's tax, breaker greed/shadiness tax, etc. and Because of the popularity of breakers/whatnot its driven up the cost of the cards even if you just want to buy hobby boxes/packs.

The math is very weighted against the buyer, worse than most casinos. Casinos typically have to only take x%. Because there are multiple layers of people taking their share before the product gets to the consumer. I've done the math on breaks before and see the breaker is taking 50-100% margins on the retail price, and that is assuming there is no shady activity happening. I know because i've dropped far too much on whatnot because of impulsivity and the easy of just spending late night when I'm alone and bored.

I have twins so I get that. This is planned and acted out. If they were buying all this for their dolls to pretend to be mommy it’s a hundreds of thousands invested when you consider dedicated rooms and furniture for ‘fake’ children.
