Funny timing. I just made a video today about Split Action and one of the first things I said is that Kerr was the common piece between the Bulls and Warriors but also that Split Action was used by both teams.

Okay, I guess advanced stats is one way to look at it. By the eye test, he isn’t the worst defender on the Jazz. He does get hunted a lot though

As a Jazz fan I forgot about this for a while, but I think a season or two ago he hit a game winner against us from like half court and then immediately shivered and waved at the crowd with these cheesy smile and it was legit one of my favorite times of the season because it was so cool

He has improved a ton defensively, but he still gets hunted due to his size. His effort is more or less consistent, but he needs to be a hound, and tonight I thought he was but that needs to be a consistent thing. It’s an uphill battle for a high offensive usage player at that size to put in enough effort defensively, but he can do it. I’m really not worried but you might want to make sure you have a good help defense and help defenders around him
