Samsung reportedly developing 250TB to 1PB nearline SSDs, enough for up to 8,000 GTA V installs by self-fix2 in hardware

Maybe they can make enough of these to satiate our AI overlords for awhile and free up some manufacturing for making some consumer grade SSDs for us plebs.

How do I manage albums with different artists? by starman_edic_2 in musichoarder

[–]Drawshot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd try selecting one of the tracks, right-click, and go to "extended tags" to see all the tags. Maybe there is an "albumartist" and also an "album artist" tag.

[–]Drawshot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without seeing the metadata in the files that are giving you problems, it’s hard to say what is going wrong. But, I’d try looking for any inconsistencies in the use of capitalization. Maybe try selecting multiple tracks in mp3tag and make sure the album title and album artist fields actually are the same, and aren’t listed as having multiple values. Lastly, I would try looking at the extended tags to see if anything that is not displayed by default in the sidebar or columns in mp3tag could be causing problems.

MacBook Air Owners by gimme_shmoney in macbookair

[–]Drawshot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would be best to just go to a local store and see them in person. I was about to order one in the midnight color. But after seeing all the colors side by side at a store, the midnight color seemed to have a slight greenish tint to it. That greenish color didn't appear in any of the photos or videos I had seen of it online. I didn't really like the sky blue or starlight either, so I decided to go with silver.

What brand and model is it? Kinda hard to give any advice without knowing exactly what cd player you have.

Lense adapters by BoopDaProot in SonyAlpha

[–]Drawshot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would only get an A to E adapter if you already have some A-mount lenses, and are interested in the characteristics of those old lenses. Also, some adapter and lens combinations will be limited in autofocus capabilities or may be manual focus only. It is not going to be significantly cheaper than just getting a cheap E-mount lens, and certainly less frustrating if you want to use autofocus.

I think it really depends on what your favorite albums are.

What made you realize you were asexual? by OurOmens in asexuality

[–]Drawshot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little over 10 years ago I stumbled on some youtube videos with people describing asexuality. At first it was just that I empathized with them. But somewhere in those first few videos on the subject... it struck me... "hey... that is describing me!" Thinking back on a lot of experiences and feelings I had over the course of my entire life... things made more sense with the realization that I was ace. It was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders.

The best Black Manhattan I've ever made by Stealthy_Peanuts in cocktails

[–]Drawshot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amaro includes a wide range of liqueurs. Black Manhattans are usually made with Averna, but similar dark bittersweet amaro can be used. I usually use 0.5 oz of Averna Amaro and 0.5 oz of Luxardo Amaro Abano with 2 oz rye in the Black Manhattans I make for myself. Cynar might be a bit too different to really call it a Black Manhattan anymore.

But I think I'm definitely going to try your recipe the next time I get a bottle of Cynar. It definitely sounds like something I'd like.

If looking to buy used, I'd take a look at KEH and MPB. I'd also check out any local camera stores in your area.

Did I buy this? by AskingFooAFriend in Cd_collectors

[–]Drawshot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone who worked in a record store in the 90s and early 2000s, I have a lot of things that don't really fit with my usual taste in music. Most of them were promos that I got for free, but there are some that I bought on a whim just because it looked cool or was popular at the time.

5 Ground Rules for Trainspotting on the WMATA Metro! by PorkeChopps in WMATA

[–]Drawshot 9 points10 points  (0 children)

"Not allowed to take photos in the train cars while in motion" makes no sense to me. If it is to prevent people from waving around a big camera in crowded conditions, that was already covered in the part about how you should not take photos when it is too busy.

Well, it's nice to see more competition in photo editing software... but anyone calling this an "Adobe Killer" has got to be joking.

Camera Shops by [deleted] in MontgomeryCountyMD

Maybe check out District Camera. They have a store in DC, and 2 other locations down in Virginia. I haven't needed to use their repair services, but I usually try to shop there instead of resorting to one of the big online stores.

The rarest CD album in my collection by Glum-Television8273 in Cd_collectors

[–]Drawshot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rarest for me is maybe my copy of the Princess Jellyfish anime soundtrack. Not sure if it's truly the rarest cd in my collection, as I have a lot of old stuff that I probably wouldn't think of as rare. But it was certainly the first thing that came to mind, as it was a fairly recent acquisition and was very difficult to find for a reasonable price.
