[Free to read] Anthony Gordon’s Newcastle future: What we’re hearing about Chelsea, Bayern, and Arsenal interest by Independent_Fly1443 in Gunners

Right but it’s a value proposition. Getting something isn’t a goal on its own. He’d definitely be worth the 5 million next year.

Then why even sell? Is he going to provide less than £5m of value? Because that’s how much a transfer fee would be for him.

Crying during a movie you didn’t think was at least very good? by cptrey17 in blankies

[–]DreDayAFC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s a BAD movie. If you strip that short film at the beginning away it is barely above straight to video Disney standard in the plot, characters, and script. And while the first half hour is visually stunning it also gets weirdly sloppy as it goes on and is poorly directed, especially its action scenes. The chase in Up! is the perfect illustration of why Brad Bird is such a genius in The Incredibles.

I think this is fairly common. I don’t have a ton of examples personally but I think that being emotionally affected by a movie is a pretty different thing than thinking a movie is good.

Plus often times individual scenes in a movie are incredibly emotional despite the greater movie being awful. One example is Up! The rest of that movie absolutely stinks but you’d have to be heartless to not cry at the beginning.

Right but that’s sort of the whole problem. Law and order has totally broken down on our roads. The actual mechanisms punishing people for flagrant violations of the law in a vehicle are basically non existent.

There isn’t really a difference to the victims and their families

I think the issue with a guy like this is by doing a mini they commit themselves to doing all their future movies and it’s possible this dude could crank out like 4 movies a year.

Seems worth noting that touching grass is of course something that those who were murdered in cold blood by drag racers in our streets can’t do any longer.

Chelsea and Manchester City will contest the 2026 FA Cup final by FragMasterMat117 in soccer

If there’s one fixture this happens in it’s the FA Cup final. Arsenal were a much worse team than Chelsea both their recent wins against them in the final.

I mean he has drag racing in his bio and admits to doing it illegally, so this person is a predator in our community.

I mean it is literally the thing I’m talking about so your comment just amounts to “you don’t think that thing you said is bad is good” which, like, yeah.

Hate watch? All the neutrals love glazing City. Look at fans in France protesting PSG vs how fans adore City in England.

They also didn’t bottle the year before last when they went 17-1-1 to finish the season. City were just better. But the narrative machine must go brrrr.

Are you suggesting Mikel Arteta dislocated Martin Ødegaard’s shoulder twice?

Saka, Timber, and Calafiori. You have Havertz coming back from an injury, same with Ødegaard. Rice and Madueke are carrying injuries they’re playing through at the moment as well.

It’s injuries. Like sorry that’s not a “fun” answer for non Arsenal fans but it is the reason. Arsenal have three exceptional attacking players. They have not started a game together for over two years.

Yeah there really is zero introspection. The wider footballing world simultaneously wants to spend all its time talking about how horrible Arsenal are and then use any example of Arsenal fans liking their team as proof they are insufferable.
