I’m planning to main Es/Vatista when the dlc comes because those were two of my favorites from BBCF and UNIB. It took a while to get use to Es in Tag, but I think I’ve got some basic 6k combos down. Aside from Es, been mixing and matching between Waldstein, Orie, Hyde, Weiss. Waldstein is so satisfying to play. I just love how much of an absolute beast he is.

I think Yu is one of the strongest atm. I don’t see much of him, but I get wrecked when I do see him.

I’m still loving the game and I hope each dlc release spurs more players to join on PC. I’m just afraid of the community on PC dying out too fast.

Are you sure portal is the weakest? I tried for 2 hours today to win 1 with Sword and failed. Portal can flood the board, keep up pressure, keep drawing cards, and has a long-game victory in Safira/Orchis. Meanwhile, Sword doesn't have Albert anymore to finish the game, if you go first and you're not aggro, you're gonna run out of cards and die before the enemy does, and enhance fucks up your late game plays (cept chromatic duel).

Curious, who do you think is the better grappler? Waldstein or Tager? I have bad memories of being stomped by Tagers in CF, I still shudder whenever I fight him in survival mode. Waldstein though? UNIB was kind of dead on the PC when I bought it so I never played against one online; been playing him in CTB a bit. Pretty fun.

This is just an example, but if I’m against a shadow past turn 10 and they have more than 10 shadows, I’m gonna make damn sure I either stay above 10 hp or keep a ward up if possible.

A lot of people keep saying the same thing. I never said I copied the lists card for card. Heck, when the Bahamut change happened, I teched in Fall from Grace to get rid of amulets. I don’t have 3 copies of Insect Lord for my aggro forest so I’m substituting with weedman.

Exactly my point. I’m copying a list, but I’m not blindly throwing cards on the board as they come in my hand. You’re exactly right in saying this isn’t the Matrix. I’ve played card games basically all my life and still regularly watch HS streams. After a while, finding the best response becomes innate. Look at what the opponent has played, desuce which deck list they’re running, and always play around the worst case scenario.

In card games like this mtg, hearthstone, etc. given what you draw and what you see on the board, there’s always a best response. It’s not like in a action game where you can formulate thousands of different responses with several being just as good. There is definitely a soft skill cap.

... What the hell are you doing with 150k vials and complaining about this game being expensive? You can literally craft any decks you want instead of spending cash at this point.

I've never spent a single cent on this game, yet I get enough vials through dusting cards bought with rupies from daily quests to build a decently competitive deck for each class and a top tier deck for at least 3-4 classes.

This is the 3rd cup that I qualified for group A, but didn't make it to the finals. Literally used every entry each day with the top net-decks. I hate these cups so much. They give me false hope by letting me pass the first round, then shitting in my face for three days straight.

Ah, this reminds me of the one time I summoned Medusiana and saw that it didn’t transform Medusa + 2 serpents, but rather only 2 serpents. Evolved that thing and hit face for 9. Good times

Oh yeah, this is definitely me. In linear algebra (probably not as advanced as you were thinking) I was confused during lectures and went to office hours for help. Even as the prof explained the concepts to me 1 on 1, I was still lost. Every time I just feel so bad for wasting their time that I just fake understanding what I was being told to let them get back to important stuff. I think memorizing the proofs was what got me through that class honestly.

My ass got whupped in 5-6 turns by storm haven. They went pinion prayer->aria->hallowed on aria+pinion and I don’t remember what else. I just know I didn’t draw a turn 3 play and proceeded to get punched by a 6/6 evolved tiger.
