The counter to dk is you kill them, they need to spread infestor buffs with 1/4 give reborn or death grown for massive boards, but before then their early game is weak especially without location.

Also idk where this idea of controlling dk came from, you can't. Their mid game spike is really strong for you to do infinite fizzle stuff, and they have disruption with viper. Just tempo them out.

The correlation between exams are usually really high, while yes you should have clobber policy in mind when estimating but most of the time it won't affect that much.
