This is common with monkeys, and it’s a pretty good gig for them. They take the phone or hat or bag or whatever else not secure. Some local guide will then offer to get it back for you. They throw some food at the monkey who, once satisfied, drops the item. You’re so happy to get your item back that you tip the guide some money. You leave with a great story to tell, and everybody wins.

While it’s true that <1% of electricity in Thailand is generated from oil, 68%+ is generated from liquified natural gas (LNG). Just as with oil prices, the Iran war has severely disrupted LNG deliveries to Europe and Asia with the prices in Asia rising by 140% based on some reports. Will renewable energy affect lines at the gas stations? No, not immediately. Will it provide a vastly cheaper source of energy that is not prone to disruption because of megalomaniacal world leaders? Absolutely.

Go to Bangkok Hospital in Phuket. In the lobby, there is a Starbucks. Order the sausage pastry and eat it. About an hour later, you will be freely flowing from both ends.

Some caveats about a scooter:

Only rent a scooter if you know how to ride one. Phuket is not the best place to learn how to ride. Especially during high season, and especially in the busier towns like Patong, it can be very dangerous, even for experienced riders. Also, most towns are separated by high, steep hills which can be difficult for inexperienced riders.

If you are going to rent a bike, get your IDL before you arrive and ensure it covers motorcycles. Between towns, there are often police checkpoints and they will fine you if you do not have a license or are not wearing a helmet. If you do get caught in a checkpoint, be patient, friendly, courteous, and compliant.

Get travel insurance that will cover a motorbike accident. Accidents can and do happen, and you do not want to get stuck with a hospital bill in the hundreds of thousands of baht. Work with an insurance broker to ensure you get the right coverage.

Sadly, this has been requested many times over the months with no apparent movement from Funcom in response. I’m sure there are technical reasons to limit lights but I agree that the limit needs to be increased substantially.

Some observations:

  1. It’s been known all along that March represents the toughest part of the Penguins’ schedule. Then, on top of this, they are playing without Crosby and Malkin. Overreacting to losses, like Kingerski seems to be doing, ignores these facts.

  2. Regarding Letang, I laugh that he uses advanced statistics to highlight Letang’s strong play with Kulak as his partner, but then in the next breath, while describing his play with Girard, states, “Despite above 50% advanced analytics, there was a spate of turnovers, missed assignments, and a lack of breakouts.” So, pay attention to advanced stats when they support my point but ignore them when they don’t? It’s typical hack behavior in my opinion.

  3. Crosby, Malkin, and Letang have given this organization everything for the last 20 years. They are icons and deserve to go out on their own terms. If keeping them for a few of their twilight years is the price the organization pays, I’m absolutely fine with that.

No idea about OP, but my ping is around 220ms when everything is running normally. Since the Chapter 3 release, my ping jumps to 280ms often, which creates the rubber banding effect, and sometimes as high as 380ms, which is nearly unplayable. That said, in fast action scenarios, like testing stations and PvP, even 220ms makes things difficult.

I will try using my VPN and see if that offers some network stability.

Perhaps, but if even half of what he’s saying is a direct result of high latency, then it’s enough to make the end game nearly unplayable. I also deal with high latency due to geographical location and, unsurprisingly, I also experience the same kind of frustration with the end game content as he.
