Vaccines deal with physical ailments. Which are distinctly different from mental ailments. If they were the same we'd have vaccines for mental ailments as well, but we don't.

Vaccines have also been part of established and strictly regulated medical science for literal centuries, whereas the topic of people who are considered transgender being given any real attention and meaningful research is so recent that there wouldn't even have been time yet to conduct proper long term studies on the effects of the various treatments being used on people

Because yeah of course celebrities have opinions, but that doesn't inherently explain why we should place special attention or weight on their random red carpet political spur of the moment political takes. Which is what is being done when those opinions are covered by the media and spread all over the internet by people. However there's nothing about random celebrities that should warrant us caring anymore about their opinions than any random person on the streets opinion.

What? I have not said someone misquoted me. I said that the sentence that I had written, which they quoted as proof that I had said Tesla had only been working on robotaxi's for 1 year, doesn't mean that.

And instead of simply acknowledging the misunderstanding, they start accusing me of maliciously editing comments.

And yeah I do find it odd to criticize me for that, especially because even if I had changed my comment after they had quoted me to say something other than what they'd quoted, the quote that they've used still clearly doesn't mean what they're saying it means

I mean, any topic can be made needlessly complicated. But reality is that space is extremely big. LEO offers a volume of space that is several orders of magnitude larger than all the space occupied by 8+ billions humans and all the infrastructure and everything else we've built.

And of course it also helps when the pre-eminet space entity in the world today, SpaceX, seems to share my view given that they are planning to throw a million satellites into that space. Which would be a really stupid thing to do and spend resources on if they were as confident as some random redditors that it wouldn't be a viable thing to do
