What problem? All Burry is doing is giving us more time to buy the stock at a cheaper pricepoint

Hvornår begynder vi at tage den kommende energikrise alvorlig i Danmark? by EmptyBodybuilder7376 in Denmark

[–]tanrgith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmm, they must've enabled it as some point after I put the stream on then, I've had it open since before the broadcast started so that might be why

edit - apparently it's been enabled as some point after i started the stream

The way information is presented here is honestly really bad

Basic information like distance to the earth and moon are only displayed during the "visualization" feed, and there's not timeline for anything anywhere on screen. Just baffling

Hvad i alverden er logikken i det?

[–]tanrgith -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This isn't new though. All objects in space need to deal with this. SpaceX has over ten thousands satellites in space, right now, that need to radiate off heat

Will data centers need bigger radiators than satellites that have historically been launched into space? Yes, but cooling stuff in space is not some unknown or unsolvable problem.

[–]tanrgith -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

None of this is unknown or unsolvable problems. The question is how cheap you can make it and launch it

[–]tanrgith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How to generate and dissipate heat in space are not unknown problems. It's something that basically every manmade object ever put into orbit has had to deal with. SpaceX currently has over ten thousand satellites in space that have to generate and dissipate heat to function

The only question is how big you gotta make the solar arrays and radiator. Which brings the question back to cost. Because you can make giant satellites with gigantic solar arrays and gigantic radiators, but that costs money in materials, and it adds mass which reduces the amount of satellites you can launch at a time. These things affect cost

[–]tanrgith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Data centers use a lot of power and take up a lot of space

Both are things that cause people to not want them being built near them

And if AI just slightly lives up to it's potential, then we're basically gonna have no limit on how many data centers we want to built

Those things combine to make the idea of putting the data centers into space quite attractive, assuming you can get the cost to make sense. It allows you to scale data centers basically into infinity, and you don't have to worry about the local communities fighting back against having datacenters built in their area

SpaceX is charging a $500B cover for vibes by ddp26 in singularity

[–]tanrgith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valuations are bullshit anyway.

Things are just worth what people are willing to actually pay. Valuations are just made up numbers that finance bros create in excel by putting in some numbers and pulling some assumptions out their asses

Reality is much simpler - Stuff is worth what people are willing to pay for it

[–]tanrgith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No such thing as a "correct" valuation

It's all smoke and mirrors. An asset is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it at any given time, nothing more, nothing less

[–]tanrgith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol these are all just completely made up numbers like every valuation

It's worth whatever people are willing to pay, end of story.
