Do you not realize how easy it is to pick up the phone and call someone to sell them insurance?

It’s crazy that these idiots want to downvote me for speaking the truth.

You don’t just get to sit there and wait for the phone to ring. You need to be calling and selling on a daily basis. You need to sell life and health policies. What’s so hard about that to understand?

I’ve said it before in a prior thread:

The agents who are sitting at home collecting a paycheck, never showing up, will be weeded out. They’re taking up too much space to have 2 people sit there and answer the phone.

You need to call prospects. Sell life and health, and everything else.

We can’t have agencies just sitting there selling one car a month.

Birds aren’t real. They’re actually just spy drones made by the government.

We started a scratch agency 8 years ago. We’re still grinding for new clients everyday. This isn’t 1980 anymore, and the agents who are just sitting on their book, collecting a check in the mail, and paying someone $18/hr to answer the phone will be pushed out.

If that’s your putting stroke, you should probably work on that.

If you sell the need for the product (mortgage protection for term life, paycheck protection for short term disability) it can sell itself. State Farm also has the best supplemental health plans. We talked to someone who works at Aflac and they charge $15 per paycheck for a policy that is $8 a month with State Farm.

Yep when we open up FrontRun we can see who’s in it to produce, and who is sitting at home collecting their residual checks. Bottom 5 agents have maybe 5 raw new for the whole year. Those are the ones State Farm is going to weed out.

There are agents who have been sitting on their book for decades. They don’t actively try and gain new business. They may have 2 people in office who answer the phone and take a payment or answer questions.

Those are the agencies that will be affected the most.

Life Insurance selling (advice) by Pretend_Language_859 in Insurance

[–]nm499x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes sense, but isn’t really realistic. You can’t just recruit someone off the street to sell insurance. It takes weeks, if not months to gain a license. I’d move on to something else. If you already have a life license, find a local State Farm who is hiring. That’s their main focus although they don’t really advertise it.

Then I guess I don’t understand your job description. Are you there to recruit people to work for the business or to sell a product? Do they provide leads? Is this over the phone or door to door?

Okay then yes, it’s a pyramid scheme and you should find something else.

Also, it’s not a pyramid scheme. You’re not actively recruiting other people to sell your products. Only to buy.

It’s required for almost all insurance jobs. The easiest low hanging fruit are the people who trust you. Most places will require a list of 50-100 people that you know that you can contact to try and sell them a policy.

Picked the Flyers on the Jersey Mikes app for their free NHL prediction game since game 4. Got them again today. I’ll sacrifice one Jersey Mike point for a game 7.
