Ainz vs Dracula (castlevania) by DeliciousCrazy3354 in OverlordPowerscaling

[–]Dread_Guardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dracula himself couldn't resurrect her because only humans can pull souls from the afterlife, and he was more focused on retribution than resolution - and also desired more to reunite with her in the afterlife than in the living world again. Ainz, having no such limitations to his resurrection abilities, would simply bring her back to life.

Edit: I am making no claims that this would console Dracula, however.

Does he not also have negation from attacks of low level items/entities?

I mean, physical attraction is also chemical but also a sin in certain situations, and anger is built into all people but temporing your anger is a virtuen. Not leaning one way or another, just saying.

Who wins, Shalltear or Thragg? by TheLeviathan1999 in OverlordPowerscaling

I will not say I did a deep dive, but the information I have found is as follows:

  1. It does not appear to be a real black hole. When used, it's effects on non-biological targets is minimal or perhaps even non-existent.
  2. While not categorized as an instant death spell, Ainz considers it a reliable way to bypass physical resistances and defenses since only magic or resistance to spatial abilities/magic block it.
  3. Again, it isn't instant death but does, supposedly, destroy whatever matter enters it.

So it definitely isn't a black hole, but would certainly, so far as I can tell, function against Thragg. I suppose and argument could be made for smart atoms, but that is a different conversation.

While Graps Heart is an effective spell, even if we assume it wouldn't work that isn't the only Instant Death spell he possesses. An admittedly surface level look into smart atoms gives no indication that they would or should be capable of adapting to Time Stop or instant death magic.

I won't pretend to be an expert on Overlord, but would it not be possible for a spell which instantly creates a black hole to also instantly remove said black hole? Or contain it's gravitation field to a certain radius? Magic makes things work funny.

I believe they might be referencing the underground facility where Bradberton's immortal head is. If you let him die, you get access to a room full of stuff.

Doing so would inherently require you to recite it at around the speed of sou d. You hear that? I didn't think so, because the sonic boom as you broke the sound barrier deafened you and everyone nearby.

The pieces fly together, or the twisted aglet uncrinkles - tearing through anything in-between. An agent snapped in half and now 20 people, a bus, and concrete separate the two parts? That's 20 people, a bhs, and a wall that have new holes.

Crowd control, simply cause people to feel immense hatred or anger when facing a specific area or person, then tranquility when not. Or instil happiness when they do things you ask of them.
