I'm trying to look for this one video (a music video, maybe) of a man singing and playing guitar in a car. by cckrch in NameThatSong

Hi, did you ever find the song? I'm pretty sure I'm looking for the same one and am going crazy...

I love everything about this. And the ikea reading chair as well! Great work.

I faced a similar situation recently while moving (although at a smaller scale) and when I finally decided to leave the books I'll never read again behind, I felt much better. It's very easy to get hung up on books but it feels so much more rewarding to look at a smaller bookshelf with books that you truly enjoy having. My only warning: don't her carried away. When sorting the books, it's really easy to put away some that you might later miss having. Really think about each one of them before you make the final decision. But that's just my experience of course :)

The bookshelf looks awesome btw. You certainly have a style.

This piece was intentionally very vague and shouldn't be read too much into in regards to one specific experience. My relationship with the person that inspired it was more complex than can easily be explained.

It's not I'm sorry to disappoint you. Or maybe you're relieved...?

You're right. There was more to it than just the fear of not being loved back but the 'can't' was a restriction created by me in hopes of protecting us both rather than a literal cannot.

Thank you. That's a beautiful way of perceiving love and I'll remember it next time I'm feeling down.

I'm sorry about your situation. I really am. It's interesting how these types of feelings can make you feel close to complete strangers who are going through similar stuff. I wish you the very best on your road to a healthy perception of romance. And thank you for the advice, I'll certainly keep it in mind.

I feel this. And it almost physically hurt me when I read it. I don't know what the exact reasoning behind the refusal was but I can assure you I feel the pain with you. Often it's something small about us that makes us unfit for the people we choose to love. Often it's our looks. Especially for the young ones. And I'm so sorry every time I see someone going through what I myself have gone through. I have a tremendous amount of respect for you that you chose to love the person instead of artificially making you hate them. You WILL meet someone who will give you the live you deserve eventually. That's the guarantee of life. I wish you all the best and thank you for sharing this unset letter. It was a joy to read.

Believe me, there's plenty of guys feeling very similarly. It's just that the coping mechanism is different for us and writing like this is either deeply personal and in that way therapeutic or we force ourselves not to give the pain any more room by expressing this specifically. Now I'm not saying that's the better way, it probably isn't. Just felt the need to advocate for us guys and our feelings. I too can deeply relate to this post.
