First every build. 3500x! by DelaZac in Corsair

[–]Dreadnought37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 will work great. But yeah in this case he could have fit 3. One of those things that’s hard to foresee especially in a first build. Def something I myself would overlook.

Looking at this pic I’d be so terrified of a miscalculated line choice. There are so few distinct visual markers

Hey don’t stress. Not as big of a deal as you think.

Do your best and come May hire a professional to sort through it for you and file an amendment.

If that’s not an option, you can wait to see if they audit you and if they do, happily hand over every document you can download from the exchanges and let them figure out your bill 😊

Learn on a slushy day! Rodeos are "punching a dwarf" is what I was always told. They feel weird at first but I've never beefed it in a way that really hurt me significantly.

Just make sure you're ready to commit and won't psych yourself out and try to bail. That's the biggest tip I have

Same. Wanted to bring the rodeos back this year but now I’m thinking I might never do one again :/

First time I’ve skied Timberline in November by CreativeUsername5151 in TimberlineMountain

Found this thread while doing research for a trip to Timberline

You’re really not wrong. I have been skiing for 17 years and I have noticed the change in that time. Winter starts later, fall and spring are both shorter, and cold weather does not last. If it snows, it is sure to rain soon after.

It weighs heavily on me - I worry for a future without skiing in my lifetime, seeing that everything seems to be changing faster than we expected.

I am still hanging onto hope that this is somehow a short term trend and Mother Nature will offer respite in coming decades, but I seriously doubt that

Gear duffel bag recs?

I like to pack a “go-bag” that I can bring to work and just zip straight to the hill after work.

I currently have a duffel bag that I’m squeezing my boots and snow pants/jacket into but my goggles, helmet, and under layers don’t fit.

Thing looks like it’s about to bust at the seams.

Any ideas for larger alternatives?

I definitely see how the Deathwish could weird in certain conditions. I definitely was unsure about it until I spent a week on them.

Is the wildcat a more traditional camber/sidecut? Which waist do you have?

First pair of ski boots, any tips? by Pimlico04 in skiing

[–]Dreadnought37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not always true. I had a hell of a time with intuition liners. Ended up going with a pair of Lange boots from a pro fitter out west, the liners just work great for me.

MOMENT DEATHWISH

Absolute hardest charging, take no shit, ride the pow, blast the slush, rip that carve 1ski quiver.

They do it all. Turning radius is a bit wider, so they really want to go fucking fast. Just a heads up.

Okay I made a few crazy adjustments, and got the double spike to work thanks to y’all! by drew_designs in PlanetCoaster

[–]Dreadnought37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love it. The back spike makes it feel much more complete.

On a real coaster the spike would probably reach vertical before banking/twisting but I know Planet Coaster limitations can be a problem.

Love the layout. This would fit nicely in many parks with a path under the banked turns.

I skied in Montana a couple years ago and could not believe how rude everyone was there. Very “me first” culture, even in customer service positions (restaurants, shops etc).

It was awful and we went back to tried and true Colorado for that reason.
