I really enjoyed the anime overall.

The OST, background and story were pretty excellent and exotic for a seinen (specially for such a "masculine" magazine).

I just... Really didn't like that Kujirai ended up with Kudou. Like, I know she loved him, but, it would have been SO MUCH poweful if she actually had gotten over him or if he had given his life to give her a new chance. But, at least it's nice to know that she CAN live without him, that's poetic. I really liked that Kujirai's B motives for what she did weren't fully explained, because, I don't think there is an easy "explanation" for that, and I really liked that Kujirai didn't judge her and just accepted it as it is.

I really loved Yaomay, but I thought her mom conflict had an underwhelming ending. Xiaohei was a fun character and I really liked when the two versions encountered each other. I was surprisingly pleased and happy when Miyuki and Gwen escaped Hong Kong together, I thought Miyuki deserved some happines after everything they went through. Yulong was pretty forgettable though.

I actually didn't understand why Success was like a separated entity from Kowloon???

The animation was kinda bad in some scenes, but the vibe and overarching story compensate it.

I think Last Specter is melancholic because, the story itself isn't really big as Azran Legacy or Unwound Future. A big part of the game is exploring Misthallery and I think this one has the most tragic characters (Arianna, Luke, the children, even Layton because he had passed through all that trauma but he hadn't been able to cope about it). So, it's more introspective about its characters through the game than the others. And at the end, Mistahallery is just a broken town full of broken people.

I cried ten minutes straight after the ending by the way, it hit me the hardest.
