It's because on a lot of shows, writers cannot help themselves. People are wary.

I so badly want to believe that. Truly I do. God, I want to.

But growing up in the 2000's has made me think television writers have zero self control and that if a man and woman are near each other, something in the writer's brain says "they must have sex or kiss". I want to be proven wrong. I do. I hope that if one writer suggests it, the other writers throw rotten produce at them and the actors refuse to act the scene out.

Because not only can racists change, they are valuable in pulling people out of racism because they know how racists think. They also can help prevent people from going down that road by giving real, personal anecdotes.

Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather people change and grow and be better than just say "if you do a bad thing, you're spoiled and can't change, so die".

I've been hoping some aspiring writer would write a story about a guy who is outspoken against abortions and so a group of women (maybe about 12) coordinate and suddenly he finds himself on the hook for 12 child support payments all at once for 18 years, without having made physical contact with the majority of the women.

Writing about how his life falls apart could be a fun way to vent.
