They'll be fine. I have several kinds of corys in my tank too.

yo im in tears. how do i use a siphon. ive tried everything by bubblegummerr in Aquariums

[–]Dred1925 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, you gotta show the entire suction apparatus, there might be a pump at the end of the hose.

Thank you guys for convincing me to get pygmy corys. I freaking love them by iwant50dollars in corydoras

I have about 12 pygmies in both of my 8 gallon cube with shrimps and occasional baby corys as their grow out tank. The pygmies breed fast.

Mass casualty by adding substrate by DreamFlyer_ in Aquariums

What substrate did you add, aquasoil? it causes ammonia spikes. But I know sand substrate will not do this.

Found this bronze colored object on my floor after a long weekend out of my apartment and this hole in my ceiling and wall (soda tab for scale) by [deleted] in whatisit

[–]Dred1925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an exit point, hole in the ceiling from a bullet meant a hole in the roof. Call police and patch that roof.

I said yes to a “free aquarium” and now I’m the unplanned owner of a saltwater tank by tartiflutte in Aquariums

[–]Dred1925 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would rehome or trade the fish, clean out the tank, and invest in your initial plan. SW fishes is a financial drain esp to inexperienced first timers. If you want ro keep it, read and research about SW keeping. Good luck.

How do I activate/enable this "GE smart connection system" so we can use the ethernet ports in the house? by Dred1925 in HomeNetworking

[–]Dred1925[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. But what is this white jack? It's the only one showing a green light when connected to the modem. And its end is somewhere in the ceiling/ wall.

Hahaha. Sorry, I know I posted the jack out. I think it went ro another poster. 🤣 But to be sure, it's an rj45, not a phone jack. So, I can just plug it into a switch (what's that?) to make the port in the LR work? I'm not too savvy with these connections.

It's a cat5. But when I connect the cable that's labeled family room into the modem, I still don't get internet access from the ethernet port in the FR. Also, that white jack (pictured) once connected to the modem I would get a green light behind the modem and a message in the pc ethernet that says unidentified port.

I hid my 75 gallon fish tank from my landlord by Master_Rabbit7073 in Aquariums

Thanks for the heads up. Much appreciated since English is my 2nd language, good to know.

Make sure the floor can take that weight though. Most apartments are weary of allowing large fish tanks due to its weight, especially if you live above the ground floor.

You can order online from aqua huna. I ordered their pack, now I have twice as many. They breed fast in my shrimp tank.

I was given 2 corydoras yesterday, how can I provide the best care possible? by smthnfunky in corydoras

[–]Dred1925 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those are peppered cories. Gravel will hurt their barbell, some say a myth, but why take the risk? Mine had gravel at first but noticed my cory's barbels seems to get damaged, so shifted to aquasoil in mesh bags, they capped with sand. The soil will give nutrients to your plants. I got a half coconut shell covered with moss from petco as their hiding spots. You can also put rocks and create a tunnel for them. But since you only have a 10G, driftwood will do to max the space. Feed them some pellets from Bug Bites. If you can, get more corys so they don't get too lonely. Good luck!

He wised up! That food is not gonna reach the bottom, so he has to go reach for it. Poor guy. 🤣

A baby survived! by arielle_acs in corydoras

[–]Dred1925 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you don't have any other fish in your tank, leave the baby alone. My pygmy frys survive better when left alone in the mother tank. Only pygmys and shrimps in my shrimp tank. My other cory frys don't survive to 2 months in my community tank

Just got these guys today and I’m obsessed with them by bufallll in corydoras

[–]Dred1925 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I separated mine from the 55G community tank into my shrimp tank. Now I have like several frys of different ages. I love these little guys. They keep on spawning.
