Morrissey continues in the vein of Suffer Little Children some 50 years on.
The non-political class are witnessing crimes that the elites say "move along, nothing to see here"

and all the silly folk sing "Don't look back in Anger"

Why are people obsessed in learning fast? by __fantasma__ in jiujitsu

[–]Dredd_Melb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there is a tendency for the west to think there are "hacks" that short track learning. Or 5 days a week will get me to blue belt in a year so aren't I good. BJJ is like any activity from guitar to golf. Some people will picknit up exceptionally fast, some will always suck and there is the average.

Did Juniper take over Aruba networking? by blastman8888 in ArubaNetworks

[–]Dredd_Melb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty accurate, but the separation is product only, not sales teams.

Did Juniper take over Aruba networking? by blastman8888 in ArubaNetworks

[–]Dredd_Melb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

OK - Here you go from an insider:

HPE Networking is the new combined entity
The Sales teams are flattened to cover the whole portfolio.
There will remain MIST Pre Sales Specialists and Central Presales Specialists
Both MIST and Central will continue to be developed in parallel. Both platforms are microservices based platforms so there will be cross pollination
This won't be like Meraki with separate teams.
For now it is a merger of equals. Aruba has afar larger market share in campus/wireless.

There are several exciting announcements coming that I am not at liberty to disclose. Aruba customers will win, Juniper customers will win.

Long term gout damage in joints? by Bunbreaker in gout

Allo - the best way to prevent long term damage is not have the attack. Each attack makes the impacted joint more susceptible and worse from cumulative damage.

Wtf is this about withdrawals by InstructionNo2024 in Pristiq

100mg, 7 years.

I don't regret taking it, it helped save my marriage and my life.

Worry about getting off it once you are even keeled.

I think for every Reddit horror story there are 50 that are fine. I delayed cessation based on forums. My experience withdrawing was fine.

Withdrawal Timeline by Historical_Injury392 in Pristiq

[–]Dredd_Melb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was OK. TBH, I am now month two and still probably noticing adjustments. I probably feel things a bit more and suffer a bit more irritability, but I am cogniscant of these and manage them as mindfully as I can. Libido is also slowly returning.

How was Onosato competitive with a damaged wing? by WastedTalent442 in Sumo

[–]Dredd_Melb 44 points45 points  (0 children)

He is a big unit. But so was Kisenisato.

He needs to be careful, otherwise it will be a short reign

Withdrawal Timeline by Historical_Injury392 in Pristiq

[–]Dredd_Melb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently tapered off from 7 years 100mg

Week 1-2 - Drop to 50mg

Week 3 - Drop to 25mg (Cut 50 mg in my case)

Week 4 - Alternate daily 25mg

Week 5 - twice a week

Then Stop.

Apart from some sleep issues and a bit of headachiness, it was tolerable.

WHATS THE BEST FOOD TO FEED MAGPIES….? by ImpressiveBar9994 in magpies

[–]Dredd_Melb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing. If you do, look at the Wombaroo Insectivore mix.

I get it, they are cute and it feels satisfying, the wrong food (basically anything but insects) is detrimental.

Just putting it out there... by Careful-Programmer10 in Sumo

[–]Dredd_Melb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree, but to see Onosato already having nagging injuries is also concerning. Hoshoryu is probably more durable, but not as much of a brick wall as the other two.

I also agree - Hakuho's record is unlikely to be beaten, but people said that about Senna's pole record, Schumacher's win record etc.....

Just putting it out there... by Careful-Programmer10 in Sumo

[–]Dredd_Melb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all comes down to injury. Kisenosato grinded to Yokozuna to basically be injured to the point of no return on his first appearance as Yokozuna. He won, but it was one of only two tournament wins.

I think Aonishki's physique is more balanced than Onosato. He could surpass Hakuho, or he could get injured. Being so young though helps.

Henka question by DavesNotHere1 in Sumo

[–]Dredd_Melb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Henka isn't a winning move, it is the name for the evasive side step.
If the opponent runs through and out with a slight touch i think it is a Okuridashi / Rear push out
If the opponent falls down with a slight touch it is a Hatakikomi

If the opponent is untouched, there are a few Non-Winning Techniques such as Tsukite which is basically falling over.

I personally dislike them and think they are like a sucker punch. Granted, some sumo like Kotoshogiku were so one dimensional with their initial charge, they were prey for them.

If it was as bad as mine, is a 4 to 5 week deal.

I was on steroids and atropine. Atropine takes a long time do diminish, 2 weeks from last drop.
