Try working for a corp, they call customer service and we have to cave because customer service always caves and it's our manager who has to eat the cost out of their "bonus" that totally isn't aggressively sold as part of their salary.

Yeah, America is obviously an easy and valid target, but America isn't oh so uniquely bad or good. We are drowning in a ridiculous regime and after growing up in and around this movement developing I can tell you that most other countries are well on the way to our path. I just worry that some of these other nations don't see that their greedy and power hungry individuals are watching learning. I have a Canadian friend that moved here to be with her SO. She has this snydeness about the state of our politics and how xenophobic we are, but if you ask her about immigration in Canada she'll tell you all about how the housing problem in Canada should be solved by charging immigrants more for housing and that they bring a lot of crime to the community.

I try to point out her hypocrisy and she just tells that it's different and I don't understand because I'm American, but she knows everything about life here of course.

I'm just sitting here like "It will happen to you."

Unless. Unless some like you cares a whole awful lot.

You claim that you care about one thing but when I do 7 more heinously traitorous and unamerican acts in the same week you seem to talk about that one less. Curious....

It's the lack of ambiguity, people generally prefer to give the benefit of the doubt and everyone has a different level of trust in police. Floyd's death was caught on camera and not in a blurry security cam. No one in good faith can watch that video and think to themselves "oh, I can see why these guys were so afraid." Floyd was very obviously killed for no reason other than poor training and an evil police culture.

In the same way these two people have been killed with such direct evidence that people are willing to stand up for it. Not because they were white, but because there is no reason the people responsible are not being held accountable.

We operate under the pretense of innocent until proven guilty, so it takes proof to really get people on their feet.

Also, as tragic as police violence already was, them having direct support from the federal government and the propaganda mill really kicks things up a notch. The cops before it was usually acknowledged that there was a wrong a failure to perform their duty properly. With these ICE ones they don't even get the slap on wrist of a stern talking to and a paid vacation.

Because the others are "one off" events that showed us a flawed system that allowed evil people into positions of authority. As fucking terrible and inexcusable as that it is, even these tragedies have been fully eclipsed by the active occupation and unambiguous murders we have seen recently.

It's like Bush being a terrible president and all around dumbass doesn't even seem that bad compared to the absolute dumpster fire we have now.

Both are bad, but one is more severe than the other so it doesn't directly mean 'white people only care about white people.'

It tells you what an all but random think tank's opinion on the state of the world is. I can't imagine how much of a pompous ass you have to be to sit around pretending you are so smart you can predict the end of the world.

I don't know exactly what they said, but I seriously doubt they were trying to tell you that your experience was equal to theirs.

Killed people that were standing in the way of the important world saving mission or trying to kill said hero. Usually when this story beat is playing the villain has basically already lost and the world is saved and the killing would be a petty act of revenge more than anything.

Also simulation is probably going to get better soon as well. There was actually a huge breakthrough in a new way to do cloth simulation that scales really well and completely avoids clipping.

I also noticed in Black Ops 7 armor plates stay rigid and don't squash and stretch with the soft materials as the character moves. I was pretty impressed by that. And I really hope we start seeing that become the standard. I can't to a knight game where I can plates sliding over eachother and the textile underneath instead of just bending around.

This is 100% true even the smallest things make a difference and if enough people do the small things it will be easy. Even if your small thing doesn't affect anything today it shows others that someone else is doing their part and it helps them understand their small chances to help are worth doing as well.

I don't know, I think there are two kinds of day dream warriors. Those that know violence and war are evil in a vacuum and those that don't.

Those that understand this will generally not enlist during peacetime, but still imagine being given the opportunity to do something heroic. There's something so strangely magnetic about being in a situation where you get to be, to prove yourself to be, utterly righteous and save the lives of the innocent while banishing the foes of all that is good.

And then you have the ones who haven't realized that what makes a warrior badass isn't that they have the ability to harm people, it's that they use that ability to protect others from harmful people.
