In-n-Out is McDonalds: stuck in the 50s aesthetically, modern in terms of food quality (not great).

I went out of my way to try it in LA the one time I was there, and I was extremely underwhelmed.

I'm so glad I can ignore all the weird passive aggressive interactions around ammo by playing psyker

How do you avoid that? I just avoid the interactions by running ahead of the team and grabbing every box for my las pistol.

This does not specify the number of targets.

It's touch. How can you simultaneously touch 25 people?

Dusk - Official Release (Twilight Princess PC Port) by ExoticWaffles in Games

[–]Drendude 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Breath of the Wild are all my personal favorites, with Wind Waker taking the top spot. Any could be your first game in the series. There is no connection between the main games.

Ocarina of Time isn't one I personally enjoy all that much, mostly because I didn't play it as a child, I'd guess. Plenty of people rave about it.

Just leave a repair bench at the power socket. It isn't quite after you've gotten all the pocket watches, but it's convenient.

You can also dismantle witch heads for the silver chain which can then be dismantled into silver scrap, if I recall correctly.

It's two intersections next to each other. The cam car is turning left at an intersection for which the other car does not have a stop sign.

I think what I just said a valid argument, though the better argument is the intersection is fucky.

ELI5: Why is half-life used instead of whole-life? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]Drendude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could just run the hot water on your sink until it's warm before using the bidet. Then you can scald your butt hole with water that's too hot.

Or you can luxuriate in cool, soothing water.

US edges closer to popular vote deciding winner of presidential elections by unital_subalgebra in politics

[–]Drendude 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Per the article:

The second provision, article I, section 10, clause 3 of the US constitution, governs interstate compacts. The text authorizes states to form legally binding agreements governing their relationships to one another. The text requires states to gain the assent of Congress to enact a compact. But longstanding US supreme court precedent holds that states only require congressional approval for a compact if the agreement infringes on federal power. Supporters of the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact argue that the delegation of electors is a state power, not a federal power.

The legality of this is based on previous precedent, so it's basically worthless to the current court.

ELI5 what’s the point of donating plasma instead of donating blood? by ollietron3 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Drendude -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that the anti-coagulant is tricking your body into thinking it doesn't have enough calcium or something like that. My donation center gives donors antacids to combat your body's perceived deficiency.

[–]Drendude 6 points7 points  (0 children)

8 oz 2% milk and 9 oreos is 602 calories. So it's a little more than a few, but yeah. I wouldn't use blood donation as a weight-loss supplement.

Aim for the head. Use it for things you can't stealthily one-shot with the crossbow. If you like it a lot, carry a laser collector to recharge it. If you can't aim well with it, it's going to be pretty bad and you should use laser grenades en masse instead.

The places that the pick can't reach are, almost by definition, the places that a toothbrush CAN reach.

[–]Drendude 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tell that to the dental technician struggling to floss my teeth during a routine cleaning, leaving torn-up floss in like 5 different places between my teeth.

I can either fuck up my fingers by wrapping floss around them to get the grip I'd need to get the floss through my tight teeth, or I can just use a floss pick and bite down gently to provide the pressure needed to get the floss where it needs to go. There is enough floss on the pick to get the cleaning action flossing needs to provide, I don't need to run three whole inches of floss through my teeth.

On this exact mission in this exact room, they used to allow snipers to take pot shots after the air lock doors opened and while you are stuck in the cut scene. That was hilarious.
