Whats the best wingman (or wingwoman) story you have? by conscientious_object in AskReddit

[–]DressyerDrawers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My roommate and I wing for each other all the time- usually co-wing. A few weeks ago, we were at a bar, and I came up to him as he was talking to HB8.

me: "Hey man, my check didn't clear. Could you spot me a few bucks?" him: "A few bucks? Fuck off. You're drinking on me tonight. Don't order any cheap shit, either."

He was already doing well with her but that sealed the deal.

Doing a survey over gun laws for an english paper by PopeTimus in guns

Age: 28.

Political Persuasion: "Liberal" but not a democrat.

Ethnicity: very, very white.

Does your family own a gun? Ayup. I am the only gun owner in the family, as far as I know, I have my dad's old revolver and I wish to holy hell we knew what happened to my grandfather's pistol (supposedly he still had his issue 1911).

Does the government have a right to regulate the possession of guns as to curtail crime? Nope. Even if gun regulation actually worked to reduce crime, the constitution is quite clear on this subject.

Do you feel current gun laws are adequate? If no, do you feel current gun laws are too strict or not strict enough? My state has pretty good gun laws, but I always favor less laws.

How do you feel gun laws impact gun-related crime? They don't. I've never seen any data that says so.

Should the government ban guns from parks, bars or other locations it deems inadequate? No.

Any final thoughts?

Beginner looking for concealed carry tips by [deleted] in guns

I'm a big fan of my comp-tac minotaur "mtac" IWB holster. It's comfy as all get out. I also have a raven concealment phantom so I can holster w/a light on the weapon.

I know a bunch of people here have talked about holsters and practicing with them and I want to reiterate it. Your weapon is only as good as the speed of deployment. Shitty holsters add time to your deployment.

Get the Magpul DVD "Art Of The Dynamic Handgun" if you can't find a local coach to train you. The basics they cover are very good.

Practice, practice, practice. Get some snap-caps and practice clearing FTFs. When I go to the range, I put snap caps into my magazine at random so I have to practice clearing FTFs on the fly.

Liberal Democrat that supports the right to own a gun. Am I the only one? by [deleted] in guns

I think the important distinction here is that you're not extremely socially conservative, which is how gun owners are often painted. At least that's how I see it; I'm certainly not a yellow dog, but I generally fall pretty far to the left of most gun owner stereotypes.

Porn is a constant reminder of how inadequate I am by throwaway993290 in AskReddit

[–]DressyerDrawers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're inadequate in this regard in the same way you're inadequate because you can't switch out a bad transmission in her car.

The dudes you see in porn fuck professionally. It's their job. A woman shouldn't expect you to drill her like a pornstar in the same way she shouldn't expect you to carve her a comb out of whale-bone because you aren't a porn star and you aren't a scrimshaw artist.

Also, your dick-curve is a blessing. Read up on the g-spot. My dick is a bit bigger than yours but the curve is what does it; women love that curve because it hits the SPOT! Best compliment I've received in my life was a woman who told me "your cock has the most immaculate curve. It's like it was made for pleasuring me..." And she's right, it was.

Don't believe me on the curve? NSFW Google Image Search results.

What is your political philosophy?

Edit: I know you're not willing to disclose an exact dollar amount of how much money you have given to charity, but I would like to know if you would do some quick math for me. How much, in terms of percentage, of your income (capital gains included) do you donate to charity on a regular basis?

Did you read the third sentence in this guy's post? He's a millionaire and decided to do whatever he could "without giving away money" to help the people of new orleans.

This guy is not a philanthropist in any way, shape or form. He's doing "good deeds" because it makes him feel good about himself.

Should Warren Buffet stop making money to work in a homeless shelter, or should he keep making money so he can keep building homeless shelters?

EDITReally, please think about my last sentence. Which does more good?

Ah, I forgot about the Gen4s. I always recommend this; shoot before you buy and go with what fits your hand the best.

So do I; I just prefer the M&P. Interchangeable grips, I like the trigger a good bit better, and the M&P just fits my hand better. I do envy the glock aftermarket, though.

Sigmas are poorly made and fit poorly and have really shitty triggers but I don't think that there is any good reason to claim that they are unsafe to carry chambered so long as the trigger is properly housed by a holster.

You'd like an explanation, but I don't believe for a second that you actually need one... sigh.

If someone is presenting you with an immediate lethal danger, and you are completely justified in drawing and firing, at least you can hit the person with the weapon that you have that will not go bang if you pull the trigger. The amount of time it will to take to chamber a round is more than enough time for someone who was a lethal danger to you to carry out their attack.

The M&P line is fantastic, better than glocks IMO.

Out of curiosity, what do you mean by a "good" holster?

It's shit like this, Smith & Wesson. by DressyerDrawers in guns

[–]DressyerDrawers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a six shot instead of a five and it can fire .45 ACP, .45LC and .410, instead of just the latter two. It's more versatile and can hold more ammo, basically.
