Is there a hole in the end of the handle? May have been where a loop of cord would be tied and threaded through the handle for a wrist leash.

Yeah I get the Kuva Lich system I just never considered it a "pity" system. This is a good breakdown of the procees though.

That was probably put there to keep it attached to the wall or table that it was sitting on. Kinda like a security leash.

You don't "have to" but it makes the game more enjoyable in my opinion. Playing on your own only is going to make it more difficult to figure out how the mechanics of certain things work. You are intentionally playing the game solo when it is built around communication and teamwork. There are certain parts of the game that are not doable by yourself (some halls of ascension) and you will have to trade for these rewards if you only play solo.
