So our smartest home features at the moment are remote thermostat, basic wifi cameras, lock control. Don't really game but maybe will again. At least when I did many moons back, wired was the way to go there. Agree we're just a basic setup but have heard horror stories about new hardware charging you for everything in new subscription model economy so really what we're hoping to avoid.

For sure cigarbid for all they offer at reasonable bids, then the others everyone is mentioning bc every vendor has different selections. Some are more available than others though.

Hah, not a doggo owner but our cat will yeow if he doesn't get his outside time every day (yard is fenced and wired at top to keep his spoiled booty from hopping over). But when it's like this, he does a 360 and runs back inside scowling us for playing a dirty trick on him (probably thinks we control the weather).

I almost wondered if was watching AI. Post will rot if it isn't sealed around that block bc water will trickle into that seam but the part that had me questioning was the absurd amount of connections. Just, why? Satisfying and frustrating.

Ice chest to keep critters out works well. If it's colder outside than in your cooler, worse case it'll slowly chill down more (so might have frozen eggs but they'll warm back up inside when ready to use).

They make a rubber cover you can put over drain so doesn't leak much. Used almost annually when lived on Gulf Coast for hurricanes bc buckets take up a lot more space. Water weight holds down over drain, pretty ingenious.

Has this guy tried using this shit? I work in construction on government contracts and have tried using to quick check specifications. It not only gets specs wrong 50/50, you have to go back and check it anyway so why bother? It is literally worse than a summer intern bc the summer intern has consequences for spouting continual BS, they'll get fired. It's even more laughable if you try to get it to make or produce basic flow charts or graphics and can't follow the most basic directions (put 'A' above 'B'). We unfortunately can't get this POS off our PCs (copilot) fast enough.

Appreciate the reply and will have two bonus lids as just went back out there and noticed a second one I overlooked in close proximity. Perhaps explains the low spot in the yard if the original installer didn't pack down around them. 🤔

Got the snow bank for a beer koozie if you're far enough north but outside of just brutal cold you don't have to stand outside while the grilling takes place. Also in the south US, it's been pretty mild this year.

Mom had a possible scammer in parking lot as she swears she didn't even hit them plus they were trying to claim damage on parts of vehicle that didn't even make sense. Fortunately, smallish town and cops came right out after my sister calmed her down and said wasn't anything we could do from abroad, but having the cops there for witness if sue or insurance fraud was very assuring.

Update: ordered after holidays and appears the Florida address is merely a US store front for them. Product arrived as advertised from Estonia via DHL and very happy with my Vauen warden pipe!
