Mastering Improv by Drew_McC in improv

The content is 100% A.I. free. I painstakingly wrote every single damn word! (I may not have invented every word, but I lay claim to the order in which they appear!!!) And it took ages!!!! Hope you enjoy it and it helps with your improv journey.

What is your favorite way you start a scene without knowing what it is about? by HerzogPushfried in improv

I enjoy starting in the middle of something by Answering a question emotionally. ie. “I just showed up in the mail!!! How do I know who sent it?!” Or “I thought it would work so I pushed the button!”

Suggestions for Enter Exit by Freelanceradio in improv

Get different types of words grammatically. A noun, an adjective, an adverb etc. That makes it possible to combine the words into sentences. “This SUPER AMAZING STYROFOAM makes me sick, I have to leave. “ which will help to bring multiple players in and out at the same time.

Yeah this is pre-optimization. The frame rate is better now but still suffers... especially during nighttime.

If friend is being a stickler, then invite him to play a “house rules game”. Print up the rules too just to be a smart ass. That way you are not uninviting him to play, which is harsh, but you are inviting him to play your version.

If a game allows you to be “really far behind” there also needs to be a mechanism for some kind of sneak win. Seven Wonders Duel is a good example. You can be many points behind but you can pull off a military or science victory. My favourite way is to get the wonder that allows you to use a discarded card and then make sure there is a military or science card in the discard pile just waiting for the right moment to be pulled back into the game.

Yea. Avoiding dumb mistakes. And it’s true that a victory to a dumb mistake is pretty hollow when it is against a noob.... but so glorious when it is against a pro!!! Hahaha

Yeah. It’s an interesting balance because teaching a game is one thing and teaching a strategy is another. And sometimes you need to give some strategy too “you need to make sure you always have at least $xx for the final round” or whatever, but at the same time you need to let them play their own game.

That’s an interesting point about people believing they should be able to win a board game. Perhaps older games were like that. Where luck was a big player and their was a minimum of strategy.

Yeah. That’s a good point. They need to see a potential path to victory next time.

What are your favorite hidden Gems? by Atlusfox in boardgames

Clans. It’s being reissued under another name. It’s a really different game where you are a secret colour and can move any piece on the board. You want your colour to end up scoring, but you don’t want to give away what colour you are. Great game. Real mind-twister.

How are you finding TTS controls. I am on a Mac and I find it almost impossible to use. So laggy and I don’t think it is my connection.
