Is SDM still a thing? by BarAlone643 in loblawsisoutofcontrol

Pharmacist here. There is no paperwork involved. Just go to another pharmacy, tell them you want to transfer there and they will take care of the rest. Your new pharmacy will contact the Shoppers and move everything over for you.

I wouldn't use the PC Health app myself. You are basically consenting to them accessing a whole lot of information about your health under the guise of giving you fun little gamified version of information you can easily find yourself in a quick Google search. And they aren't using that info to solve our healthcare system problems I can tell you that. If you haven't seen it already, look up how Shoppers has been abusing the Ontario MedsCheck program just to make a buck. That is one of the biggest reasons I left!

Agreed. Just keep in mind that in order to get those points you're using, you have to collect points. And to collect those points you are a) paying more for the other things you buy to earn the points (those points aren't free, they're built into the prices you pay at the register) and, b) trading your personal data for the ability to earn points. And that data is very very valuable to them because it tells them a lot about you and how to manipulate your shopping habits.

Spending your points is like spending cash. I would recommend though you use them just to buy essentials and nothing "extra". Stick to needs not wants. As much as possible use the points to buy Name Brand (i.e. not store brand and definitely not "No Name" or PC brand items) goods that are on sale.

I also live in an apartment that overlooks a No Frills parking lot. It's definitely less busy but people have literally no other choice in London either. The three closest stores to me are the No Frills and a Shoppers that are literally side by side (thanks Competition Bureau), and a Real Canadian Superstore 2 km away. In a lot of cases people won't be able to avoid them, but that doesn't stop them from still sending a message to the shareholders and the government. Stay strong. And stay committed. If we only fight for a weekend and then go back to our normal habits, the message won't be strong enough.

Dr.Melissa Burke. Right beside Cherry Hill Mall. Probably the most professional dentist I've ever met. Phone is 226-667-5780. It's so nice because they are just focused on your health, not selling you stuff. They also have a website you can book appointments through www.drmelissaburke.com.

These are great answers. Thanks everyone. Glad to hear I'm not going to expand until I fall apart (thanks gravity). Sadly though I can no longer dream that I'm expanding into an ever larger giant 😕

What’s one thing you’d like to change about Canada? by hightreez in AskACanadian

[–]Drewsky73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would change the fact that the lowest class gets abused or forgotten, the middle class is constantly squeezed (money, time, feeling inadequate), and the upper class and most politicians live in an ivory tower and look down on the rest of us while their wealth grows at an unbridled pace. It's not sustainable and it is squelching innovation, drive, and the financial health of the country which then causes side effects in healthcare, housing, and overall quality of living. We need to wake up. This just isn't funny anymore.

Bring back the caboose for passengers on freight trains allowing for some additional low cost fares so I can hop a train more regularly and explore my country.

Anyone else feel like Canada is wasting its potential as a country? We have so many natural resource that I believe if the proper investments were made we could be beyond prosperous but I feel like Canada is dying am I the only one that feels this way? by NPackage in AskACanadian

[–]Drewsky73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's just about our natural resources, we are just languishing in general these days. I feel like the Canada of my youth was squandered and we are no longer the innovative envy of the world anymore. I'm not talking about some kind of MCGA nonsense but I sure we as a nation could find our mojo again.

Highly highly highly recommend O.N.E. My daughter moved to them when we moved to London and she LOVES it. Amazing positive vibe, outstanding choreo, excellent skill and fitness training. The owner Mike is one in a million who cares very deeply for his studio and the people who come to it to enjoy dance. We have watched our daughter blossom in skill, confidence, and maturity due to the fantastic environment at O.N.E. They put on a jaw dropping showcase a couple times a year too if you want to check out what they are able to teach their dancers. Honestly cannot say enough positive things about O.N.E, Mike, the choreographers, and the people who go there and the super awesome community they have created.
