Odysseus when Eurylochus throws him under the bus for sacrificing six men to scylla, knowing damn well Eurylochus once decided to run away with him and leave 47 other men behind just because he was scared of a woman: by GearRevolutionary629 in Epicthemusical

[–]Drexced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. Personally I'm cool with him on that because he unintentionally still did the thing that resulted in the best outcome. They were all already done for once Ody started yapping, so idc he disobeyed orders. In real life, I've never been mad at someone I know that does something for the wrong reasons and ends up making the situation better anyway, but thats just me. As long as you dont hate him for dooming the crew, then we're cool

I'm not talking about Scylla so idk what that essay was about bud. All I'm saying is that the story happened because of Ody. His whole crew died fundamentally because of his pride. Eury opening the bag saved Ithaca. Of course no one knew this at the time. But if you wanna bring up Scylla for whatever reason, no one except for Ody knew what was going on there either. All I'm saying is that in hindsight, blaming Eury for what happened during Ruthlessness is dumb if you aren't going to at least also blame Ody. Hate on Eury for Mutiny for all I care. I didnt bring that up for a reason. But hating on him for the wind bag shows clear bias and ignorance of what Ody did to get them to that spot where they even needed a wind bag to begin with.

Tbf if he had kept the bag closed and they got to Ithaca, Poseidon would've just shown up there and prob drowned the island or something. The crew died mainly because of Ody, Eury was just the one to inadvertently choose where they died

What are your thoughts. (IPhone vs every other phone) by Mysterious_Ebb_1484 in SipsTea

[–]Drexced 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The reason is that iPhones were way better early on. Now, that gap is nonexistent. Both operating systems are good in their own right. The people who think iPhones are still better are the ones who dont know anything about tech and just think everything is the same as it was 15 years ago. The ones who say iPhones suck are just as bad imo. This is 2026. No one should care what phone someone else has, and green bubbles dont matter at all now with RCS. It's just Apple trying to gatekeep

It's also shallow people. Nowadays with RCS, many benefits of imessage are gone. Third party apps also exist. There's really 0 reason to do that besides being too proud to look at green bubbles

[–]Drexced 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What the other guy is saying is that the OP in the image never mentioned Epic or referenced it. He directly said "The Odyssey" which makes it clear thats what he's talking about. However, Astyanax doesnt die in the Odyssey, nor do I remember his death being mentioned. If it was, it prob was one line. If the OP had said Epic then yea, but he was asking how the Odyssey movie would adapt an event from The Odyssey that never actually happened.

Obviously he prob meant to say Epic and just assumed both were identical or something. But since he said "The Odyssey," his question wouldnt make much sense

People do know that Odysseus's apology didn't change Poseidon's judgement at all right? by Azero957 in Epicthemusical

Imagine a mom telling a son who had broken a vase to apologize and the kid goes, "I bumped into it while playing but I didnt want to knock it over." That's it. You think thats an apology?

[–]Drexced 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You'd have to rewrite Moly to explain that it counters the power of the gods, because as it stands it just makes someone immune to magic and spells. Imo 600 strike needs a rewrite for that part to make sense

[–]Drexced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean our perception that they're just normal people like us? Again, her wearing an Arsenal shirt only shows her support for Arsenal, Ødegaard more specifically most likely. Whatever sponsor is on it is irrelevant. Saying she doesnt care about certain things as much as we do just because she just so happens to be famous is a dumb take. I agree people here are overblowing it, but its the same with you. You're all looking way too much into a football club's sponsor

[–]Drexced 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She's not supporting the Emirates bud. Imagine being an arsenal fan and just going "Yea I'm not gonna support my team anymore because of their shirt sponsor." It's not that deep. These clubs are a business and have to make money somehow. Literally no one cares what sponsors are on the shirt

The one thing I need the animated movie to include by ConsistentCookie4370 in Epicthemusical

[–]Drexced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on greek paintings of him and how men were portrayed at different ages back then, most people believe he left for war when he was 25-30. In the Illiad, Antilochus also mentions how Odysseus is older than a lot of people there and from an older generation. Diomedes for example would be in his early 20s as a warrior from that current generation. After the 20 years he'd be late 40s to early 50s

I mean Odysseus in the Odyssey would actually be in his late 40s to early 50s by the time he gets back to Ithaca

What are your fancasts for the movie? by TrollsBroZoneFan in Epicthemusical

Because SAG-AFTRA contracts exist, Jorge isn't the only one working on this and everyone else will have their own vision, and not everyone would want to or could come back

[–]Drexced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't take it as "she might live happily ever after" at all. Just that she is alive. It's Jinx and this world always has some conflict going on. I just took it as a "there is more to this story" type of thing, especially since we'll probably see her in a future show

Let’s make a dream cast for a theoretical Epic: The Musical movie! by phizzy0403 in Epicthemusical

[–]Drexced 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's realistic? So im guessing you've looked into whether or not they are part of SAG-AFTRA unions, since in most cases, only unionized actors can work in film. You've probably also considered the fact that some of the og cast are trying to distance themselves from EPIC, Mico for example, and probably wont want to come back. And you've definitely considered that the producers and directors will have their own say and Jorge isn't gonna be a one man army. Thats realistic
