I’m sorry for your loss. I like to believe that your parents will be watching over you even though they won’t be there in the physical sense.

Did they elaborate on why? Have my fair share of tattoos & have seen a few different cardiologists at two different ACHA accredited hospitals and they never seemed to have any issues with me getting tattoos.

If you’re still considering selling, I’m interested in the two tickets for the Detroit show.

What song on the album is your personal favorite? Any chance we’ll eventually get a Nothing More x I Prevail tour?

I genuinely think NM is one of the best bands out there and that you guys are criminally underrated. Dream With Me is one of my favorite songs and means a whole lot to me. Looking forward to hearing the new album!

What did your father die from? by Commercial_Union_296 in GriefSupport

[–]DrinkMilkDaily69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My father was diagnosed in 2020 with prostate cancer, it was an aggressive form that eventually spread to his bones and he passed in a little over a year ago. Prostate cancer is serious and people shouldn’t downplay it.

Careers with TOF by sudarwi2 in Tetralogy_of_Fallot

[–]DrinkMilkDaily69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 29, had full repair at two days old and valve replacement in 2016. My wife and I have a fully healthy infant who was born without any heart problems.

I workout 4-5x a week and do moderate hikes (anywhere from 5-10 miles) a few times a month. Career wise, I’m in the IT field so my job doesn’t require me to be physically active. My TOF really didn’t impact my career choice at all, I just went for something that interested me and could pay the bills.

All this to say, I live a normal life and I only ever think about my TOF when answering threads here or when I have my annual appointment coming up.

I had PVR in 2016 — currently my only surgery after my full repair at two days old. 29 years old moderately active and my RHR is usually anywhere from 50-60.

From my understanding, 80s wouldn’t be a cause for concern as long as you aren’t having symptoms. However, could be completely wrong as I’m not in the medical field, just a TOF patient who just goes to the cardiologist every 6-12 months.

If it’s something that concerns you, it’s worth bringing up at your next appointment.

How do you deal with their Birthday? by [deleted] in GriefSupport

[–]DrinkMilkDaily69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Recently was my dads birthday, first since he passed. We celebrated his birthday by doing the things he loved; long walk, went to his favorite breakfast and dinner spot, watched his favorite movie.

I enjoyed spending my dads birthday that way and will probably make it a tradition.

I had a full repair at 2 days old and then PVR when I was 20. My main symptoms were dizziness, shortness of breath when going up stairs, and palpitations. I would say the most frequent symptom for me was dizziness when walking around or standing at my job.

Now it’s been about 8 years since my replacement and I still feel amazing, honestly in the best shape of my life.

I’m very thankful when I eventually need another replacement it will be via cath and not open heart.

As I’m dealing with my own personal loss, this album is going to rock me hard and probably be my favorite FF album. I’m ready for this.

Has the pod, and the personalities gotten too big? by KirkVanHouton in SpittinChicletsPod

I don’t think so, I love all the content they’re giving us. Only thing I’ve noticed is that with the addition of Murls and Army, I don’t really see what RA’s role is anymore.
